Got some vocals recorded at Jack's studio. He had great equipment/an awesome setup and a good ear for mixing them. Came out sounding great. Would def recommend.

Jack Kilby is a highly professional engineer/producer, musician and music teacher. He's friendly, knowledge, and extremely competent in the studio. Because he's also a multi-instrumentalist, recording at the Crab Shack becomes value added because he understands both music and audio. I also love the fact that the Crab Shack is a fully outfitted analog and digital studio. It makes it a one stop shop when recording your projects. I wholeheartedly recommend the Crab Shack as a studio and Jack as an engineer/producer, musician and music teacher.

I play in a rock band that wanted to record our first album. I knew Jack mutually through the local music scene and was made aware of his studio, and it seemed like a great place to record some tracks. He was super communicative, flexible when we wanted to change locations to get drums, and worked with our schedules super well. He also was fantastic at getting rid of any unwanted “blips” and issues caused by punching in tracks, which came in handy. The audio quality and quality of the equipment in general was great. I would absolutely recommend working with Crab Shack Music.

I had such a great experience working with Jack. He is such a perfectionist and has really gone the extra mile to make sure my songs sound the best that they can sound. He also played some amazing drum parts on my songs. The overall vibe of the studio is super laid back and comfortable, too. I would recommend Crab Shack to anyone!

My band recorded five tracks with Jack, and the quality of his engineering and knowledge of the tools used to do so met all of our demands. Jack not only provides a laid-back environment to bring your music to life, but is also willing to take the measures to help you reach your goals himself. Whether you’re looking to lay down some solid tracks in the exact way you want it or just to get a quick project done with some solid expertise to back you up, this is your man.
