- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm not terribly fascinated with high-end and haute couture of the big fashion houses. My main interest in current styles for the every day wear. Stylish, contemporary, with maybe a bit of a fun accessory to make it stand out. I love it when my clients go slightly out of their comfort zone, but I wouldn't let them feel like they are odd-one-out at an event or a party.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was my boyfriend, actually. He was surprised at how often complete strangers would comment on my outfits and ask where I got my pieces. He suggested I should get into personal shopping business, do for others what I do for myself.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Doing the 'leg work': scouting sales, clearances and discount stores. Everyone likes a bargain, but not everyone has patience for it. I do!
