I took guitar lessons from Gregg and I was amazed at how quickly I became a much better guitar player following his method. He's a great teacher and activist. Highly recommended!!

I've been working with Tim for almost 2 years now. Tim has a great, private, home studio in his basement with about a dozen different acoustic and electric guitars, a variety of bass and amps, and tons of other equipment like microphones, recording software, effect peddles, etc... You don't need to bring your own equipment if you don't want to. If you do, Tim also has a work bench and can help with repairs, maintenance, and fine tuning. His studio is in Canton and convenient for lessons. Plus, Tim is very flexible and able to accommodate me when my schedule changes suddenly. When I first started with Tim, I had been playing on my own for about a year. Tim is an amazing musician but didn't make me feel bad about my level (or lack there of) of skill. Tim first taught me the basics of foundational guitar theory (notes, scales, chords grips, chord theory, keys, etc) and focused on technique, picking, fingerstyle, and strumming patterns. However, he kept it light and fun and we worked in learning the songs I wanted to learn at the same time, making the experience enjoyable instead of a chore. Tim is always willing to help transcribe and tab out a song for me, or a solo I want to reproduce, or other melodies/chord progressions from other songs. He is even willing to send out videos or recordings to use for practice purposes. We are now delving more into music theory and more advance compositions and songs.

Finding a good guitar and bass tutor can be pretty fraught. Anyone who knows a few scales can potentially set up shop. I had the misfortune of visiting several such "instructors." Unlike most of the folks on craigslist, Morgan is a true teacher. He has deep musical knowledge that spans genres and play styles, and will adapt his lessons to the interests of the student. But more importantly, he's just a great person - kind, patient, and passionate about music. Over 2 years of lessons, Morgan helped me progress from simple pop songs to Jazz comps, and even indulged my interest in kooky prog metal rhythms. The lessons were fun, spontaneous, and challenging. Bonus: Morgan is an experienced guitar tech with a fully outfitted shop in his house. I cannot overstate how convenient it is to be able to get your instrument fixed in the same location where you take your lessons. Virtually no one else in the area can provide this dual service. In summary: I wouldn't write such a long review if he wasn't the real deal. I left each lesson with a smile on my face and I saw the same in every other student that walked out the door before my timeslot. If you want to learn and actually have fun doing it, give this guy a call.

I have taken over a years worth of guitar lessons from American Music Studio and will continue taking lessons into the future. Brett in co. cater lessons to your skill level and learning style, encouraging you to push the limits and learn more. The instructors are approachable, motivational, personable and experts in their craft. I cannot express how educational and enlightening my experience with American Music Studio has been.

As former student of Dave's, I can vouch for his quality as a bass guitar instructor. I went from barely knowing the strings to playing songs(the bass part at least) in only after a year of working with Dave. He is extremely knowledgeable and flexible as a teacher. He caters the lesson to what you want to learn. He is even willing to teach remotely via Skype if necessary which goes a long way in traffic choked Maryland.

Jason taught my guitar class over a six or seven week class period, and he did great. I started out pretty much as a beginner with little experience, but by the time I was done, I was doing many different rifts, chords and scales. Fun teacher. Highly recommended!

I've been working with Maurice for just a couple months now. He has taught me more guitar in less than 3 months than I've picked up in over 30 years of trying to pick it up by myself. He is not only a great guitarist, he is also a great teacher.

We are so very pleased with Mr. Brown. He's just an excellent teacher. My oldest daughter has shown an unbelievable improvement since she started taking bass lessons with him. My youngest son just started taking guitar lessons with him as well and even though he's not very talented, he is also making progress. I couldn't believe it, but now I believe it! I highly recommend Mr. Brown. He's very flexible, professional, and a great teacher. We can't wait to have out third kid for him.

Jordan is a great guitar teacher! He's always patient and lets me have a voice in directing lessons to focus on what I am interested in. For each problem I have he always has an exercise or trick in his back pocket. In a couple months time I have really improved on guitar thanks to him.

I found Victor here on this website for a guitar teacher for my son and when it came down to needing to hire a teacher Victor had followed up with me. So I took advantage of the first free lesson and he's been my sons guitar teacher ever since. Victor is very patient and knowledgeable, the personal attention and care he gives to each individual child is wonderful. You can tell that he has a love for music and this is his passion. I've spoken to other families that he teaches(some for several years) and they all agree. He works well with my son on incorporating styles and songs he is interested in as well as teaching music theory and basics. My son was a beginner 6 months ago and now he is playing full songs confidently. He loves coming to guitar class and learning new techniques, and songs. I plan on continuing until my son can pay for lessons himself. I highly recommend Victor Crisen.

Diego is a natural teacher with a God-given talent. My daughter has only been taking guitar lessons for 4 1/2 months, but I am amazed by her progress and accomplishments. She learns something new each week and walks out of each lesson with a big smile on her face. He is very kind, encouraging and knowledgeable with a fun and diverse repertoire. I highly recommend Diego.

As a beginner, I was in search for a patient and dependable guitar instructor. Bernardo went above and beyond to ensure my learning experience was fun and productive. He did not bog me down with technicalities alone but rather instilled a sense of listening needed for aspiring musicians to succeed. Most importantly, he taught me the value of being responsible for my own learning experience, I took his advice seriously and excelled. Thank you Bernardo!

He is also well versed in recording and audio engineering. Max is very friendly, easy to work with, and professional. Joey is an amazing guitar instructor, and my son always looks forward to their lessons! My 16 year old son started playing guitar about a year ago, and can play any music given to him now. If he has a new song he wants to learn, Joey will have him playing it by the end of the lesson! Joey shares his love of music with his students, and allows his students to explore the music they want to focus on. He also encourages his students to get creative and write their own songs, or just jam out and enjoy the music. Joey is not only an amazing instructor, he is also a great role model for my son. We are extremely happy with his instruction and highly recommend him.

I am trying to improve my playing and style. I am currently in a church band and I can only play power chords. What I want to learn is the ability to play in a band. Maybe do a little improvisation. I also would like to learn some music theory so that I can look at a sheet of music and play it well. I also like to play finger style guitar. Like Sungha Jung on youtube. But my main concern is playing well in a band for Church. The music I play for the band varies from hymns to songs like Jesus Culture and Bethel Music. If you think you can help me out then I would be grateful.
