- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $45 for a 45 minute private voice lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with the basics (e.g. posture, breathing, etc.) and simple vocal exercises and an effective discussion to get to know the student and their singing goals. I use humor to help the student get comfortable in singing for me. I usually end the lesson with having the student sing a song of their choice of any musical style. Then we work out next steps and lesson schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a voice performance degree (BA in Music) from American University. I also completed all coursework for a Master's in Vocal Pedagogy. I music directed over 40 musical theater productions in the Northern VA area for 20 years. I have also performed leads and supporting roles in over 50 musical theater productions in Northern VA for over 40 years. I studied voice, dance and drama for over 30 years.
