- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I attend a fitness conference every year, as well as continue to read current research, fitness texts, and publications that come through my certifying bodies. Fitness is continuously evolving. The old school methods of stereotypical weight training simply do not cut it these days.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was overweight as a kid, and wanted to better myself. I was so unhappy, because kids made fun of me, and I just didn't feel like I was worth anything. I had a great friend encourage me in high school to exercise because he did, and it went from there. I wanted to learn more, so went to school for the field, and here I am today.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Weight loss and movement quality are the two top areas. They can work very well together, because as people shed excess weight, movement becomes more natural and easy to achieve.
