We live in a 2900 sq ft condo that's 3 stories with 25 vents, 3 returns, and a dryer vent. We paid $1475, (apparently cheaper if you pay with cash, initial estimates were $1705 to $1540) which we felt is expensive, even with the pay with cash discount! But we needed our vents cleaned and concerned with mold build up, based on Doug's initial assessment. I was unsuccessful in searching for other competitors and clueless to what the average pricing is for air duct vent cleaning. The 5 star rating is for the workers, Brandon and Gabriel, who did a great job doing all the work. Thankfully, no mold was evident but continued with the treatment as a preventive measure. To our knowledge, vents haven't been cleaned since it was built in 2006. Otherwise, a 3 star due to price!

I wanted my dryer duct cleaned. The contractor quoted me $240 but if I paid cash it was $180. He asked if it was a house or a condo. I told him it was a condo. He asked what floor. I said "first floor." He shows up at my condo building entrance with two other guys and asks where my unit is. I tell him "Right down the hall. Maybe 100 feet." He tells me he didn't realize I was in a condo and says "It's an extra $60 if I have to bring my equipment down the hall." I reminded him I told him it was a condo when we first spoke and he blabbered something I cant recall because I was soo p****d off. I had to go back to the bank to get another $60 in cash. I would never use him or Thumbtack again. I feel completely ripped off.
