Tanisha is the first tutor for Math my daughter had and she has been amazing. While searching for the right tutors and talking to a few them, she stood out! \n\nPatience is key while teaching Math and an ability to understand how to tailor your teaching to suit the student. Tanisha has been all this and more. She built a trusted relationship with my daughter, planned her sessions, clearly communicated her approach and put my daughter’s needs first. \n\nShe has been instrumental in building my child’s strength in her advanced math class and working with her to excel at Math.\n\nI would recommend Tanisha as an excellent Math tutor and trusted teacher for your child!!

Amir was very knowledgeable and detailed. He went over the material step-by-step and took his time to make sure that I understood the process. He is the best tutor for Python!

Christina tutored my 13-year-old daughter in Language Arts (reading, writing, comprehension, etc.). Christina is a great tutor. She was organized, well prepared for each class, and very responsive. She worked well with my daughter, and we feel lucky that we got her as our tutor. We highly recommend her.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Most tutors charge $25/hour for 1:1 tutoring and there are never any required tutoring packages nor upfront costs. Clients pay on a per-session basis and we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, or you get your money back. (Online sessions and in-person sessions are the same price.)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    1. Speak over the phone to learn more about your student to make a recommendation. 2. Connect you directly with the tutor so you can talk with him/her. 3. Book a session through the Tutorfly site and enjoy! :) We personally recommend an academic tutor that doubles as a role model for your student.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Our Tutorfly Tutors are in the top 10% of their classes in high schools and universities like Stanford, UC Berkeley, Princeton, and NYU. They have ample experience working with students of all ages and have progressed through a 4 step vetting process that tests for knowledge, creativity, and empathy.
