I'm not a tech savvy guy, just don't have time to keep up with all the things. So when my laptop screen started flickering I didn't know what to do. I took it to bestbuy and those con artists wanted 180 dollars to fix it. So I found about thumbtack and submitted my problem. I got a couple of hits about it but I was a little paranoid about getting ripped off. Jason's profile picture kind of jumped out at me and he looked like a great kid, and his review seemed to boast the same so I picked him. He was extremely professional for being so young, but really friendly too (We had a conversation about amazon.com for a while), just a pleasure to work with. When he took a look at the computer he figured out it could either be the screen connector cable, or the screen itself. The cable was about 5 bucks, and the screen was almost 80. Luckily Jason seemed to know his stuff and decided it was the cable. After the parts arrived he told me the replacement would take around an hour, and honestly, I think he did it even faster than that! It was crazy I went to pick it up and he did a full run through with me to make sure i was satisfied and sure enough no more flickering! Not only did he save me from having to shell out 180 bucks to bestbuy (DONT TRUST GEEKSQUAD) but he saved me again from having to potentially buy the screen for 80! I let that thing stay broken for so long because I thought it would be such a hassle to get it fixed, and costly too, just like taking my car to the auto shop. I wish there were more repairmen like Jason out there that don't just care about sucking every dime out of your that they can.
