- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was 14 years old and walked into a cake shop looking for work. I was asked if I knew how to decorate. I said no but I was willing to lean. The lady showed me how to make a rose and then asked me to make one. I tried, it looked sloppy, but she hired me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who will listen to your needs. Make sure they are giving you what you want, not what they want to give you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Just how much I enjoy what I do. I really am obsessed with creating beautiful cakes. Making people say wow! When I can't sleep, I decorate cakes in my mind.
