Best gym experience ever. We've been Strong Center members for five years. We are part of a small Team Training group. Yoga & spinning are among the many classes offered in the basic membership. A friendly low stress environment. Dave Ross is the best!
Lynn is always ready to start on time and does a nice introduction of stretches to get started. I appreciate her verbal instruction as we're working, along with her demonstration of what we're "striving for" in each pose. She also has a soft, gentle way of walking around and adjusting us to get the maximum benefit. I just wish I had started yoga earlier in my life!
Ray Grace has provided me with many hours upon hours of yogic satisfaction and pleasant, professional training. He is my number one recommended yoga instructor. He makes the class fun, and adds very subtle insight into the poses and positions. Ray frequently teaches using techniques that are true to hatha yoga, yet can be overlooked by most western instructors. He is always teaches in a positive mindset. Ray teaches in a way that provides an understanding of the more subtle aspects of his field of mastery. Students learn more than just yoga from Ray. He is truly a wonderful and hyper-competent yoga instructor.
Liz was absolutely wonderful to work with. She came to us for some morning yoga as requested by the bride-to-be on her wedding day for a small group - 6 people. She created a custom playlist, brought extra mats just in case and was patient when we started later than expected. The bride decided she wanted a workout and boy did Liz deliver! It was a great way to prepare for the day's festivities. I would highly recommend hiring Liz!
I am a certified yoga instructor who emphasizes alignment and breathe work through energizing or calming vinyasa flows. Yoga is for everybody and is an incredible tool for physical and mental health. I bring joy, humor, and "realness" into my practice, that is designed to fit the individual.
I have been teaching since 2002. My teaching certification is in Ashtanga yoga, however I am aware of your body's limitation and will tailor to your needs.
In the summer, we do yoga on the dock, by the water with the seals, in the house overlooking the sound on rainy days. It's a peaceful place as well as unique.
