Introduction: Proudly owned and operated as a one woman's army! And I'm ok with that. Cocktail Slayer since 2013 and climbing- strong verbal, professional, & communication skills- 10 years of customer service. So it's no wonder that I'm especially happy when I see the satisfied looks on customers' faces, knowing that I contributed to it, through the perfect blends of alcohol & mixers. It's very important for me to always provide the very best drink experiences, each and every time. I believe that my service stands out because Mixology isn't just something to do- it's my passion. It's not a job; it's life, existence, and my happy place. I'm truly happy standing behind the bar, and as such, my happiness radiates and extends to everyone I come in contact with. Formula slinger by day! Cocktail Slayer by night! That's the word on the street, and I don't mind it. I love people, and good drinks! Mixology to me, is a high I can never come down from. Being a mixologist/Bartender has really put me in my element and has kept me grounded- its my happy place. It's one of those careers that is, of course, demanding and ever changing- but oh so rewarding! And that, that is what really makes it worth it! I aim to bring about a professional, but fun experience to every event. To leave an impression on the lives of those, with whom I'd share my craft. I've recently added an extension to the brand, called CocktailShoppe- where I offer packaged, premixed cocktails to customers. I aim to leave a positive mark in the Mixology Arena, one friggin amazing cocktail at a time!

I found Rashida on thumbtack and asked her to bartend for my engagement party, she was super flexible with the timing and my budget. Rashida showed up early and had everything set up by the time the event began and all my guests loved her! She’s super easy going and has a great personality! I would definitely hire Rashida again if I had an event and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great bartender!

We hired Ember Mixology for our wedding after party in August, and Rashida did everything to ensure that we could basically just show up and have a good time. She worked with us to get a list of cocktails that we loved, and she was responsive at every step. I would hire Ember Mixology again in a heartbeat. The only advice I would give to others is to discuss and establish the tip % vs using a tip jar prior to booking so that you have a clear picture of the full cost.

I will also add punctuality to the the mix. Rashida came a bit before start time with her 2 assistants and they set up a great looking bar and were setup and ready before guests started arriving. After the initial connection, I really appreciated her for quick and clear responses including a shopping list of things i needed to get (liquor). And both her signature Carribean Punch and Loconut shot were a hit.

Rashida did a fantastic job at our backyard party! She had margaritas prepared quickly and expertly for all our guests. She came prepared, set up quickly, and checked in prior to the event to get all the details. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again and call on her expertise!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Please be guided by these prices, accordingly. Beer and wine only for events with guests fewer than 100--$350 for first 3 hours-$55 for any additional hours. Beer & wine only for events with guests 100-145-- $350 for first 3 hours. $65 for each additional hour. Beer, wine & cocktails for events with guests fewer than 100-- $400 for first 3 hours. $75 for each additional hour. Beer, wine & cocktails for events with guests 100-145- $450 for 3 hours. $80 for each additional hour. Beer wine, & cocktail service for 100-145 guests--$500 for first 3 hours, add $85 for any additional hours. Serving beer, wine, non alcoholic & the inclusion of cocktails for 100-145 guests-- $650 for first 3 hours, add $95/hour for each additional hour. $170-$200/hr for events with guests in excess of 150. $1500 for first 3 hours- hour price applies thereafter. $600 flat fee for events under 3 hours, with guests of 50. Cocktails included. $750 flat fee for events under 3 hours with guests of 50-100. $900 flat fee for events under 3 hours with guests of 100-145. $1500 flat fee for events under 3 hours with guests of 145-200. All above mentioned + additional services requests. There will be an extra $100 fee placed on all quotes to account for setup & cleanup. BE ADVISED that a travel fee of $40 will be added to final quote, plus any extra services required. ALL LAST minute "stay later" requests will be billed at $120/hour. Thumbtack may not always quote accurately. The final quote will come directly from me, and remains at my discretion to add, or to remove based on unique circumstances. Where tip jars aren't allowed, a 35% gratuity will be added to the total amount. Balance is due at the end of the event, before all parties involved in transaction leave the venue. Payments not made on the day off, are expected no later than 11:59am the next day. A 50% deposit is REQUIRED upon hiring to hold your event date.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I first try to establish a sense of comfort and clear line of communication and expectations. Then we'd discuss the event theme, if any. Upon hiring, 50% of the agreed upon total is required to guarantee your date. A contract will be sent over with regard to the upfront & remaining payments- & what is expected on the day.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I obtained my MAST permit, Certification and training at Seattle Bartending College.
