We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with AK builders Pro. Our deck was in pretty bad shape, the wooden boards had started rotting, and the railing had deteriorated over the years. From the very beginning, they impressed us with how thorough and honest they were. Instead of jumping straight to replacing everything, they carefully assessed the deck and explained why repairing only the rotten boards wouldn’t solve the underlying problem.
One thing that really stood out was how much time they took to educate us. We had a sheet installed underneath the deck to keep leaves and rain from falling onto the lower level, but they showed us how it had actually trapped years of pine needles and moisture, causing the wood to rot much faster. They explained why composite decking would be a much better long-term solution and also suggested ways to keep the project within our budget. We never felt pressured, but just well informed.
Throughout the project, communication was outstanding. We received daily updates, knew exactly what was happening, and everything stayed on schedule. They removed the old decking, installed beautiful composite flooring and railings, and even reinforced the stairs to make them much sturdier than before without us having to ask.
When the project was finished, they cleaned up everything so well that it looked like they had never been there, except now we have a beautiful, solid deck that we absolutely love. It’s not often you come across contractors who combine craftsmanship, honesty, great communication, and genuine care for their customers. We would gladly recommend them to our friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
