I hired Jarrod to assemble my IKEA furniture. There were seven different items but Jarrod organized his work as such all seven furniture would be assembled in the least time possible. I really liked how he goes about his work with true professionalism - starting from assembling the nuts that go together, doing a thorough work of organizing the pieces, assembling them, testing and then cleaning up after he is done.

We initially requested service to put bring our circuit breaker up to code and run a second line out into the backyard. SeaTown was responsive, never missed an appointment, and didn't make us wait. While upgrading the breaker, the technician noticed that our neutral line for the house was not insulated (wasn't identified during the house inspection) and SeaTown immediately scheduled a second visit to come complete the work. Overall, much easier to work with this organization than most contractors these days.

Mark came out for a service call in order to troubleshoot a electrical issue in our master bedroom. He quickly identified and fixed the problem in about five minutes. He did not even charge me because it was such a quick fix. I would definitely recommend Mark and his company for all of your electrical needs!

Totally satisfied. They arrived the next day (on short notice). My circuit breaker blew and would not reset - the one controlling the kitchen range. Besides replacing the breaker (which was truly shot) they diagnosed the source of the problem - the range was shorting out - it sparked after replacing the breaker. Their diagnosis was correct - eventually the whole range had to be replaced but that's Sears' fault - a whole 'nother sad story. In summary - competent electrician who knows his stuff and talked straight. Gotta like that. It was a "small" job but it was a big deal to us.

Travis was great. He came on time, was quick and did a nice clean job of installing a whole-house surge protector for me, which I provided. It was meant to be mounted inside the breaker box, but I had an in-wall breaker box so there was no room. But that did not phase Travis, he installed it outside the box with a nice clean junction box for the wiring. Great electrician and I would definitely hire again. Nice to have a good experience with a contractor. Thanks Travis!

We had West Seattle Electric out to move our breaker box and upgrade the power out to our garage. Overall the experience went very well. Mark and Darrell were very professional and did quality work. They even accommodated some additional requests while they were there such as extending a power cord on a table saw. The only hiccup during the process is that they did not schedule enough days for the work needed. An estimated 2 day job ended up taking 3 weeks due to a loaded schedule, unanticipated issues inherent with an old house, and a stickler of a city inspector. Still I would recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician and we plan to use them in the future if we have any further needs.

I did't know what was causing rain water to leak into my basement. Chuck thoroughly explained what was going on and removed and rebuilt my basement wall. Other issues were discovered and fixed so when he was done I knew I no longer had to worry about a wet basement.

Jason did a great job coming over to the house and changing out several outlets and modifying my electrical panel to include a GFCI circuit breaker. I was very pleased with his work in the extra effort he put into do some research for me at home. Jason provided prompt service and even modified his schedule to accommodate my needs after the power went out from the big storm!

This is the 2nd year the Smiley's have done my exterior Christmas lighting. They are a super nice couple and do a great job - very polite and conscientious. Also, since Nick is an electrician you can feel comfortable that things will be hooked up and wired in a safe manner. Our house looks beautiful and it's one less thing I have to do to prepare for the holidays! If you need this done, don't hesitate to call them - you won't be sorry!

I found Sergio through Thumbtack after struggling to find any handyman services that weren't booked out weeks/months in advance and actually responded to me. I emailed Sergio from the website to initiate the process and from our initial email we began communicating via text message. Sergio came out on a Monday to provide a quote for significant yard work. The yard work included removing tons of overgrown and invasive plants on my grandmother-in-law's Kingston property (think blackberries et al) and removal of some random junk on the property, as well as cutting down of bamboo (grandma's property has a creek running through it and there's more bamboo than the fertile lands of Asia). Sergio reviewed everything we wanted done and quoted it would take about 40 hours with 3 guys to process the work and removal of everything we wanted done. The rate is $25 per hr per worker so the estimate worked out to about 3k. Of course, I'm always expecting unexpected things to come up and I have zero experience hiring someone to do significant yard work like this. Sergio and I agreed to the work via text after receiving the quote. The next Monday morning he and one of his guys showed up promptly at 8am and began hacking away at junipers and blackberry plants on the property with machetes (what. haha.) I live in Seattle so I wasn't easily able to come out and constantly check on their progress. Sergio had one guy with him on Monday and Tuesday-Thursday he had two guys with him. Initially, we planned on them finishing on Friday but something came up and they promptly came (four guys, actually) on Saturday and finished everything off. The actual cost for (approximately) 40 hours with 3 guys was about $3,300 with about $750 in dump run fees (yeah bringing all those trimmings and leaves sure get expensive at the Kitsap dump, I've done it on my own in the past). And then sales tax for his services a couple hundred. Overall, it was about 4k, which was 1k over budget but seeing as $750 was dump run costs and like $350 was sales tax, it totally met my expectations. Sergio and his crew are polite, fast, friendly, and hard working. I'm pleased that we selected Sergio for our yard work. They did a significant amount of yard waste hacking and removal. My grandmother-in-law is very attached to some of the plants so they were very careful about preserving and protecting specific plants (whichever plants so wanted stayed, and the overgrown invasive plants growing on top of them were removed) and Sergio and his crew were clearly professionals at handling these Pacific Northwestern flora. If you're looking for someone who will work hard for you and be very fair, I would recommend emailing, calling, or texting Sergio to bring him out for a quote. Other projects we are about to have done that Sergio may be involved with and stated he and his crew can do, and will quote separately: -power washing and painting her house -grading, levelling, and filling her drive way with rock -aerating and seeding grass and laying sod -placing pavers to create unprecedented walkways -removal of old fences and installation of new fences So in addition to yard and junk waste removal, as well as professionally manicuring her plants, shrubs, and trees, Sergio and his team can do pretty much anything. Contact him for a quote. I highly recommend. :)

Custom Touch was hired to install the equipment to charge a new Electric Car (No less than a 2013 Tesla Model S). The electrical panel was full, and we were facing a big charge to enlarge the service. But John Gary and his team solved the problem with custom manual transfer stitch where we use the A/C circuit to charge the car, They also said we could use a standard range plug type 15-40 and we did not have to spend $150 for the fancy-dan electric car plug. They did a great job, and the electrical inspector even said when signing off the permit it was a smart way to get the EV charger working without a big service upgrade fee. A. Smith CGC, Inc.

Drew and Matt earned my highest recommendation by doing outstanding work at a fair price. They replaced my main circuit panel, installed can lighting, chandeliers, dimmers, and ceiling fans. They were extremely pleasant to be around, very professional and did the work in less than 3 days. 5 stars for sure!

  • Details
We have 2 projects: The first is to install 2 pendant lights in our kitchen. We currently have overhead can lights that attached to a switch but it's just not enough light in our dark kitchen so we'd like to install 2 pendant lights over our counter. It is fine for them to attach to the same switch so everything turns on/off together. The second is a chandelier in the bedroom. Currently there is no overhead lighting but there is a lightswitch that is connected to a outlet. We're hoping to find an electrician that will install these lights from start to finish. Including cutting the sheetrock to run the wiring.
