Very nice job on my yard. Courteous and prompt. I will gladly continue using their services
My recommendation for Corey is unconditional. He began his first project with us in March of this year when when a friend recommended that he would be good help since I needed to get everything off of two decks in preparation for resurfacing. There were big old terracotta pots full of hard packed soil and the upper deck was up 3 stories. Corey figured out how to do this efficiently and kept up a brisk pace. Once the decks were finished he carried the new pots and all of the soil and new plants back up. Corey was careful to check in with me on coordination so that he could be back as soon as the deck was ready. Our next project was cleaning out the side yard including an old fence, construction debris from the project next door and overgrown plantings and material to go to hazardous waste dump. Corey was quick and organized, set up a system for sorting and brought a helper and huge truck to dispose of the stuff. Over the years I have tried to clean up this area but the project seemed overwhelming and no one knew how to attack it. Our house on Queen Anne Hill is 100 years old and there is always something that needs to be done. Corey has a key and I keep a list so he stops by when needed and takes care of things. A special recommendation for Corey is that my dog loves him and she is a very good judge of character.
Brian arrived early and worked extremely hard for 3 hours. He did an excellent job and plan on using his services again.
Great general cleanup for our property, responsive, competitive pricing. Have hired for ongoing monthly landscaping service.
Let me start by saying, I bit off more than I could chew when I started my landscaping project. After getting through a quarter of it, I knew I needed help as it proved to be much more back breaking than I had anticipated. Nick and Rubin from A1 Quick Landscaping contacted me first, so we arranged a date and time for a bid. They came over to my home on a Saturday morning and gave me a quote to shape the lawn the way I wanted it, till the existing sod, remove the sod, amend the existing soil with 6 cubic yards of compost, and shape my new surrounding berms. The price was very fair considering the 6 cubic yards of compost they would need to bring to the site. I hired them and Wednesday was the day we agreed upon. They were both there at the time they said they would be and started right away. They assured me I had nothing to worry about and they had it under control, which they most certainly did. I was surprised how quickly Nick and Rubin got the project finished. They're a two man show and it only took them about 3 1/2 hours to finish what I started 3 weeks ago! They were friendly, professional, offered their opinion when I was on the fence about something, and they have a good sense of humor. I really am very pleased with the work they did. I can now start putting my new plants in thanks to these two!!! I recommend them highly and I would not hesitate hiring them for another future project. Many thanks Nick and Rubin.
I am a professional Property Manager and a home owner. I have used Drenica Stump Removal and Yard Maintenance for many years at my own personal house as well as the properties I manage. The work performed is always excellent and the prices are the best I've found anywhere. In addition to landscaping and lawn services, I have used Drenica Stump Removal and Yard Maintenance to perform roof and gutter cleaning; building and repairing decks and fences ; repressure washing roofs, decks and sidewalks; building retaining walls and garden beds; cutting down dangerous trees and stump removal. I use them for all my outdoor jobs big and small. I highly recommend Drenica Stump Removal and Yard Maintenance. They are simply THE BEST!!! Elaine Dial - Windermere Property Management
Pedro, did our lawn service when requested only giving him a short time to arrange. He was a lot less than the other guy that after 2 weeks was still not out to do our lawn maintenance.
Damien and his team make quick work of weeding and adding new bark to our flower beds. I'll be using his services again.
Outstanding experience, he showed up in a timely basis, quickly performed the work and then gave great advice and a competitive quote for some additional work. Absolutely plan to use his services in the future.
R&R (and the owner Ricardo) was the main contractor that implemented my landscape plan (had a landscape architect draw this up separately). He came in with a fair bid and executed the following: 1.) Build of a block retaining wall with capstones 2.) Complete replacement of soil and mulch for the yard 3.) Planting of various species of trees and plants for the yard according to the landscape plan 4.) Installation of pavers and gravel where needed My property was not in an easily location (elevated) - so the work was back-breaking to haul up and down the stairs. His people did this without complaint and R&R was done 4 days before the final date promised on the landscaping. In addition to the landscaping, Ricardo (owner of R&R) is extremely knowledgeable about construction so is able to help you plan around future projects that you may want to put in place (e.g., pergolas). I wish I had known him before I bought my current fence as well. I would recommend R&R without hesitation.
I cannot recommend Polo enough, his number will stay bookmarked in my phone for any landscaping needs in the future as well as recommendations to friends and family. I've been burned by contractors in various trades both residentially and in my business, it seems there are far more disreputable ones than not out conning the masses with over promised and under delivered while upping their bids or coming up with "unforeseen costs". In the state of Washington, anyone can get a contractor's license, without testing (except for electrical and plumbing), as long as he or she post a bond with the state and have insurance. As a result, there are so many "drunk uncles" out there bidding jobs and then throwing unqualified minimum wage paid workers on them to bilk unsuspecting home owners with no state oversight to protect you. It is "Buyer Beware". POLO is the opposite! After seeking bids from multiple contractors through Home Advisor and Thumbtack I sensed an immediate affinity with his professional attitude, communication, respect, and honesty. Polo brought in a crew of diligent, hard working guys focused on the tasks at hand and exceeded my always high expectations. He is personable, punctual, assessed me of all options, intelligently made recommendations that were taken (at no additional cost to the fair and agreed upon bid) and is providing additional oversight of the landscaping for a month, included at no additional fee, so as to assure plantings are established and stable. I am heartened to say Polo has diminished some of my cynicism by showing me there are still ethical young contractors establishing professional businesses the old fashioned way; by doing what they say they are going to do and then going the extra mile and actually doing more! Give Polo a call before his calendar is too full with other happy clients such as my wife and I! Mark Monroe / Mercer Island
Aaron did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend and I will use his services again.
Jay arrived in time and gave me quotes for a few things I need done in the yard. He planted a steep hillside with some native plants. Looks great! Plan to hire him in Winter to trim my fruit trees.
Alec from Rooted Tree Care provided prompt response with an estimate that is very reasonable for the tree removal. He showed up on time as scheduled. Job well done, we are very pleased and completely satisfied! If you are looking for tree service, look no further, Alec is the man who will give you the best rate and best service!
Oliana Gardening has been a life-saver. Our previous gardening service was unreliable and difficult to communicate with; they sometimes damaged plants, and our existing garden was not doing as well as it could have. I needed to find someone who was knowledgeable about plants so that I didn't need to supervise their work. From the very beginning, Oliana not only properly maintained the garden, they also corrected problems; for example, they completely removed some blackberry brambles which we had unquestioningly come to expect needed to be cut back each year. Our year-old garden is thriving under their care, and due to our positive experience with them, we had them design and plant a new garden in our back yard. This is a purely NW native garden and Oliana has far exceeded our expectations. They designed a beautiful garden that was attractive and affordable, and provided us with care sheets that featured color photos of each plant, enabling us to properly care for the plants ourselves. They have been professional and knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable, and simply a pleasure to work with. We look forward to having them come each month to maintain our yard and gardens. I would recommend Oliana Gardening to anyone, without reservation. ~S. Wilson
Art came and mowed and edged my yard and did a great job. I will Be using his services again and referring him to my neighbors.
Adam is very intuitive and knowledgable about plants and gardening. I'm very happy to have found him. He scheduled a couple weeks in advance and is helping develop a plan for the yard improvements we will do over coming weeks and months.
Sarah and her team did excellent work (laying down mulch and planting trees/shrubs) for a reasonable price.
Doug does excellent work. He knows and cares about local plantings and offers advice. Dependable, punctual, friendly professional.
My project was quite large consisting of resurfacing a garage roof deck with new railing and steps, removing concrete pathways and replacing with bluestone pavers, designing front porch steps, designing a potting and garden shed, designing a "condo" to camouflage all my garbage and recycling cans, installing an irrigation system, lighting, 2 water features with one also being a water garden, designing and planting garden containers, laying new sod, picking and planting new plant material and relocating and replanting some of my existing plants. I needed a professional landscaper who would walk me through all the design aspects and recommend a hardscape specialist, and ensure all the work being done would be done properly for a quality result. My meeting with Robin Parsons began with a consultation at my house. She made suggestions for plants and design, and after that initial meeting, I knew I had the right designer and didn't bother researching other landscapers. At first I had a bit of "sticker shock" when I began to price out the scope of work for what I wanted done. She helped me understand what each element costs and I had to decide what was important and rethink my budget. And in the end she helped me make the right choices. She listened to all my needs and communicated clearly to what needed to be done, paid close attention to all the details, she came with pictures, ideas and recommendations, and even drove me to retailers specializing in sheds, concrete, and garden containers to help me decide on products. My project is almost completed, and I can already see how beautiful and welcoming my landscape turned out to be. Robin exceeded all my expectations, is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to continually working with her on my future projects of choosing a house color, shutters, and designing my garage driveway.
Excellent! Very professional, friendly, highly responsive, customer-oriented, high quality job, very meticulous and considerate about the existing systems and plants around the new system. Excellent experience-plan to use Guzman Services for more of my landscape needs. Thank you!
