- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I volunteer regularly as a second shooter and assistant to more experienced photographers, learning more about the craft from them.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common shoots I get asked for are individual portrait shoots, especially for high school seniors. These are some of the most fun, in my opinion, right alongside couples shoots. Young people are so full of life, energy, and ideas, all of which jump straight through the lens and into the heart of the portraits. I learn so much from my high school clients, and they remind me to live life FULLER every day.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a professional who has a personality & style you think will be enjoyable during your shoot -- beautiful portraiture come from relaxed, comfortable shoots where everyone is having a good time. Often the reviews of photographers will reflect whether they were fun to shoot with -- and trust your instincts!
