Theo was very prompt and well-worded in our communications, and set me up with a tutor in my area quickly. I'm looking forward to more of my Japanese language lessons!
My first lesson was very good. Gena and I got acquainted with each other and began studying Spanish. Gena is very nice and I'm sure, from what I've seen, that she'll be a good teacher. I'm really looking forward to learning Spanish from her.

I took Spanish lessons with Sarah over the summer, and it was excellent. She helped me set up a plan of what I wanted to learn, when I wanted to learn, and how I wanted to learn. She recommended a mix of Latino music and other Spanish artists, in addition to preparing an assortment of worksheets and packets for me to complete and learn from. When we met (weekly or whenever worked, for whatever amount of time we had decided on the previous week), she would go over the competed worksheets with me, and help me improve upon anything I had missed or wanted to know more about. We met at a public library near her house for a few weeks, but moved to her home for a quieter location for conversational Spanish. She went above and beyond the usual 'worksheets and bookwork', by suggesting music and other things that greatly improved my learning experience, giving me more motivation to learn the language and excel in my studies. She was always prompt and arrived with all of her materials. I am continuing to study Spanish in school and plan on continuing lessons with her possibly next summer, or whenever I feel I need help from an outside source to learn the language to the best of my abilities.
I used to use music in my Spanish lessons. Most of the time, I encourage students to use karaoke as a tool to improve reading and pronunciation.
Mary was an excellent Spanish tutor! She was very flexible with my schedule and I appreciated the mix of tools that she used to help me learn.
I tutor students of all ages (mostly middle school and high school students) in academic subjects (science, math, writing, etc.) as well as provide tennis, soccer, and music (saxophone and piano) lessons.
