We went to Tara for guitar lessons for my 11 year old daughter. Tara makes it fun, very knowledgeable and easy to learn with. She's super sweet and the kids just love her. She's a good example and a beautiful person.

My first first day of voice class was superb. At first I was really shy. But he made me feel more comfortable with my voice. Because there's nothing to be afraid of when your learning something new. I loved his energy. And he's easy to get along with and flexible!

I took voice lessons from Jonathan, starting in 2008 for about 5 years. Voice lessons work! Jonathan took me from someone who could (usually) sing correct pitches to someone who could sing with good technique and confidence, and am currently singing tenor with Cascadian Chorale. I have continued to recommend Jonathan to friends, and recommend him to you, too. Voice lessons are fun and are a great personal-growth experience.

Our daughter has taken voice lessons with Aaron for about 3 years and really loves her time in his studio. Aaron has a wonderful ability to connect and has really helped her become the confident singer she is today. Bitterlake Studio is an extremely warm, positive, safe and inspriring environment and Aaron is the most supportive teacher. He is a very talented musician and a passionate and artistic person. His presence puts her at ease with a confidence to explore her strenghts and weaknesses. We are so grateful for Aaron making it a challenging but very fun learning experience for our daughter.

I've always wanted to take voice lessons but I never gathered enough courage to actually do it. I decided to give Maddy a chance and since starting a few months ago I'd say my confidence has tripled. I'd recommend her to anyone!

Our 10 year daughter has been under Shireen's tutelage for almost two years, and is already becoming a fine pianist. She is also turning into a very good vocalist! Shireen has never been anything but positive, helpful, and understanding. She is always very thoughtful in the way she teaches. She explains everything, and why it is important, making it easy for the child to understand WHY. She expects the same courtesy, punctuality, and attendance from her students, that she herself gives 100% of the time. We couldn't be happier with the choice we have made for our daughter's piano and voice lessons. Highly recommend!!

When I didn't have the money to pay for vocal lessons my daughters freshman year he put her in his open spots free of cost. He knew her talents and we appreciate his work with her.

I have been studying Vocals with Sami for 2 years. He is an amazing instructor, he is patient, kind and a blast to learn with. Every lesson is designed for me based on my progression from the week prior. He is always available to speak even when I don't have lessons to offer additional help. Thank you Sami for helping me become a better singer.

I love working with Erica! Prior to taking lessons from her, I had no experience singing and was absolutely terrified of it. Erica really took the time to help me identify strengths & weaknesses in my voice & helped me improve hugely! I definitely recommend her!

I came to voice lessons just wanting to improve my signing a little while playing ukulele. Little did I know how challenging but yet rewarding voice lessons could be. The first few voice lessons are definitely challenging because you are completely relearning how to use your voice properly. Amy is such a fantastic teacher for this and whenever I hit a hurdle, she just knew the right words, images, and exercises to use to help me get passed that hurdle. She is such a fun, happy, genuine, caring and talented voice teacher. I absolutely love working with her. I have been able to sing notes that I never thought I could sing. Amy has taught me so many tools and helped me to be a lot more confident about my voice. If you get a chance to work with Amy, you are one lucky person!

Teresa is really sweet, and helpful. She is very supportive when it comes to bettering my voice, and she has a lot of great warm ups and techniques. She lets you pick the songs that you want to work on (my last singing teacher made me sing songs that weren't my style), which is awesome too!

I've been taking voice lessons with Christine for a few months now, and it's been an amazing experience. I'm a total and absolute beginner, but Christine knows perfectly well how to teach beginners (or people at any level for that matter, since she has a degree in music education). In a few months we've already seen noticeable improvement in my voice. Christine's been helping me develop the correct vocal technique right from the beginning, so that I don't develop bad habits that are difficult to correct later. She is also an outstanding teacher - she immediately notices/hears my mistakes, no matter how subtle, and corrects me right away. Or if she notices me getting tired, she stops the lesson right away, even if I don't notice it myself. These are very important things for a beginner in my opinion. She also shows me many tricks (both physical and psychological) that I can use to make my voice do the right thing. And she has a variety of exercises that help with different aspects of developing your voice. Finally, she's a great person to work with - very cool-minded, always smiling/laughing/joking, never yells or gets angry, calmly moves on to something else if one thing doesn't work, and has the rare and wonderful ability to point out mistakes without making you feel bad. She is also a very good listener - always willing to answer my questions/comments. At a personal level, she's a fun and interesting person to get to know, and talk to. I think everybody can benefit from voice lessons, even if you think you're no good at singing. And I think Christine is perfect for the job. I highly recommend her!

Steve has been giving me voice lessons (baritone/bass) roughly weekly for four years. He has helped me improve my singing in many ways including development of a free sound, better vowel quality, use of vibrato (aka "movement"), fuller breaths, and attention to musicianship. Steve also has been patient and adaptable. I do not practice very much outside of lessons and am not open to solo performance, but Steve is willing to work with those limitations. He also has been flexible regarding travel, teaching me at my workplace. Steve's relaxed, low-key style and clever exercises put me at ease and help me to do my best singing. I strongly endorse Steve as a voice teacher.

Clarice is a wonderful find of a teacher and coach. She helped me to prepare for a Mahler audition that was out of my comfort zone (I've mostly done Baroque repertoire, and Mahler sounds so much better when you're 50). She helped me to really get in touch with my core breathing, and to sing a legato line like you never get in early music. She also gave really good coaching advice on things like color and brightness of tone, with thoughts of making it cut through a thick texture. I really liked the advice "pp is a color, not a volume." I have yet to hear about my audition results, but unlike many, I felt really good about how I sang. I'm looking forward to more lessons with Clarice so that I can keep on singing healthily for the next 20 years into my 70s.
