I am an new musician and an adult learner. I am taking bass guitar lessons from Scott. He is my second instructor, and I plan to take lessons from him for a long time as I grow as a musician. Scott is amazing!!! He has met me where I am in my knowledge, and breaks it all down in understandable manageable pieces. I love theory, and he thorough understanding is evidenced in his easy to follow delivery. I am improving quickly and I definitely credit Scott for my improvement. Scott is certainly as competent and more fun than any college professor I have had. I love him and recommend him for classes. But... my time slot is reserved and taken. Enjoy.

I always wanted to learn to play guitar, and tried several times to teach myself without success. The idea of taking guitar lessons was super intimidating to me, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. Ryan is an amazing instructor. His passion for teaching is obvious, and I feel like I learned so much from him in a short amount of time. He addresses all the things any new player faces such as a lack of confidence and bad habits. Right away I felt comfortable and encouraged, and I looked forward to lessons every week. The lessons motivated me to want to practice and work through everything I was learning, and they were always fun. Ryan has a great sense of humor and a knack for using pizza metaphors to explain music theory :) I can't say enough great things about my experience, and I encourage anyone considering lessons with Ryan to definitely go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Started guitar lessons a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I was self taught and played by ear. Didn't feel I had time for lessons. But, I was missing a lot of the fundamentals. The lessons have started to fill in the gaps and I'm learning a lot faster than before. I wish I started these lessons a couple of years ago. And way too easy taking these lessons at my place. Highly recommended!

My 11-year-old son has taken 2 1/2 years of guitar lessons with Bob, and he's still as excited as when he started, if not more so. Bob balances what my son would like to learn with what he needs to learn--blending fun and cool with theory and practice in a way that challenges but doesn't overwhelm. Plus he's a delightful person. We've had an excellent experience with Bob and highly recommend him.

David teaches me classical guitar. He is kind, encouraging, and patient. He gently instructs me on the importance of finger positioning and rhythm. David is well-grounded in musical theory and can discuss the history of musicology. Each lesson has been a positive and enlightening experience. Thanks to my teacher, I have rediscovered my love of classical guitar!

Friendly and knowledgable, Larry was my piano teacher for over 5 years, but together we dabbled in voice, sax, guitar, and even a bit of drums. He tailored lessons to exactly what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. He can stick to the standard lesson plans, or adapt them to exactly what you want to learn. He's a good guy and a good teacher who gave me all the foundations to be confident in just about every aspect of music.

I have taken lessons from Bob Crow for the past five years, and I have nothing but great things to say about Bob, his teaching style, and all the great songs that I have learned. When I first started taking lessons, I was a competent flat picker (at best), but I could not finger pick, count times or take on challenging songs. Thanks to Bob's patient teaching style, I now regularly take on—and master—advanced-level songs.

About

I teach fingerstyle guitar, classical guitar, folk, and rock. I also specialize in the Hal Leonard Method, Fredrick Noad Method, and Christopher Parkening Method. My lessons are tailored to each individual student, to their interests and needs. I generally use the Hal Leonard Guitar method but I will use any method best suited for the goals you want to reach. Whatever method we use will be supplemented with other songs and exercises. My lessons tend to be laid back and fun but also challenging. I expect students to do their best and make an effort. The lessons are taught in my studio with an amp, guitar, music stand, books, and seating, or in the students home. Students are required to have their own instrument. I do have instruments available to rent.

About

I teach beginning to intermediate guitar lessons in the comfort of your home. It can be for 30 min., 45 min. or a full 60 min for afternoons and weekends only. Bring your own guitar or use the house guitar.
