As the best man for my brothers wedding, myself and the maid of honor were primarily involved with working with our coordinator, Melissa. To say the least, she was not only incredible, but far exceeded our expectations. I still don't know how many hours she must have spent of her own time to make sure that every request was met and fullfilled, but also she had all the tasks taken care of before we or the newlyweds-to-be even had the chance to be concerned about the details. She was professional, both in appearance and personality, and yet still had a way of making everything much more fun and exciting than we had anticipated. She showed up for every appointment early and stayed late to ensure she had everything covered. Most important, on the day of the wedding, all credit must go to her for everything running smoothly; that the bride had not a worry in the world because Melissa had everything running like a well oiled machine, she was worth her weight in gold. She impressed everyone in the wedding party and the family and will be the only coordinator that any of us will use in the future. Melissa made my new sister-in-laws dream wedding come true, which in turn made my brother happy beyond words. She has not only made us permanent customers, but we all consider her a close friend as well.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
It had always been a hobby of mine. I loved helping people plan weddings and events. I always loved the personal connection and I loved the feelings of satisfaction of helping make someone dream come true. Everyone always told me that I had a gift for planning weddings and events and so with the prompting of my fiancée, decided to take a leap of faith and make my passion my career.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be completely honest. Don't be shy or afraid to give me the details that your heart truly desires. Never be embarrassed or hesitant to be specific and direct about what YOU truly want.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish that customers understood how much personal time it can consume to make an event come about the way that they dream about, and making it happen within the given financial means. Dreams can be made to happen, but it takes dedication, compassion, and perseverance to make it happen.
