FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly improving my knowledge through professional organizations and independent study. I am a member of Washington State Federation of Music Clubs, The Voice Foundation, & study vocal acoustics through (Ken Bozemans work) with a small group of dedicated professional voice educators. I attend conferences in my field and am a life long learner.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I came into this world singing! Had the great good fortune to be a scholarship student with Carole Chardonnay, a phenomenal teacher. She was a direct student of William Vennard through USC. She taught me how to sing and how to teach.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Help them create a strong foundational technique, understand how to breath in a way that supports their voice, plus help them with musical literature in the styles that work for their voice and that they enjoy. I also offer assistance with how to bring a song to life with feeling and emotion, yet keep the vocal instrument stable and capable of producing great sound.
