We reached out in hopes to get a bid for kitchen remodel, but because they do not work with insurance companies, we will have to go with someone else. The staff that called was very friendly and informative.

Details: Full remodel of existing kitchen • Installation of new tiling or flooring • Installation of new cabinetry or fixtures • I'm not sure, need professional recommendation • I'm not sure, need professional recommendation • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • Residential

UPDATE Dec 2022: I was contacted by Evergreen and they assured me that this is not in fact the way they conduct business and that they had rectified this situation on their end. Another sales/design person came over to reevaluate the project and to reassure us that this former employee did not represent how their company conducts their business. I am satisfied with the responsiveness to the situation, and am once again considering them as potential company to do the remodel/repair work. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nov 2022 - I was clear with the scope of the project and that we were in process of gathering quotes. Evergreen was the 1st to visit us in this process. Jonny came over and was immediately telling me that their normal projects are complete remodels costing $50,000 and up, they do not usually do such small projects. But then proceeds to gather measurements and info on what I need/want done. He gives me a price (which at this time I do not know if it is a fair price as this is the 1st quote), then starts the hard sell...I should give him 10% deposit to lock in the price, when I say that I am not making a decision without talking to my husband he calls the office and proceeds to tell them that I requested a better price - I Did Not! This is now got my guard fully up but I am trying to be polite as he continues to try to get me to hand over deposit money which is now 5% of the job and the cost is reduced by waiving the tax. At this point I have made it clear that I was not making a decision without talking to my husband and that I was not handing over a check. Basically he threatened that the company would likely be unable to do the job if I didn't commit and give a deposit that day. Being made to feel like they were doing me a favor by taking such an inconsequential job and then being pressured to give money and a commitment right then to lock in the price and the job made me extremely wary to keep them on the list of potential contractors for this project. When I told Jonny once again that I was not making a commitment, giving him money and would take my chances with them not being able to do the job, he finally left. The "quote" sheet he left and the way he conducted the site visit was very unprofessional. Unfortunately even if Evergreen does outstanding work the experience of working with the salesman put us off the idea of hiring them for this project.

Details: Repair of existing cabinetry or fixtures • Installation of new cabinetry or fixtures • No, plumbing will not need to be relocated • No, electrical will not need to be relocated • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • Residential

I scheduled an appointment with them on Wednesday at 6:30pm. The time came and went. At 7 I sent them a message to see when they would arrive. Crickets. At 7:30 I officially gave up on them and tried to reach out again. It is now Friday and there has been no contact.

Details: Sketches or a basic idea • Bathroom • Repair existing structure • Less than 500 sq ft • Home • I am the owner
