Dusty did my hair and makeup for my August 2015 wedding. As anyone in Seattle knows, it can be very hot and sometimes very humid here in the summer! I had an afternoon wedding, so I needed my hair and makeup to look good not only through pictures, but also in person in the harsh sunlight. Dusty did a FANTASTIC job doing just that! My makeup and hair lasted all day and I could not be happier with how I look in my photos. The biggest difference I noticed between Dusty and other professional makeup artists was the quality of products he uses and how long the makeup lasts. I recently had my makeup done by another professional makeup artist for my friend's wedding, and after about 2 hours of photos my eye shadow was creased and my lashes were falling off. That was not an issue at my wedding at all. Dusty even took his customization of my look to the next level by helping me pick out hair extensions and toning them so they perfectly matched my hair! Dusty is truly an artist. He can take a vague description of what you like and make it a reality with seemingly little effort. I liked his work so much at my wedding that I've called him more than once to do my hair and makeup for other events, including a pretty elaborate Morticia Addams costume this past Halloween! Don't waste your time with other hair and makeup artists, Dusty is by far the BEST!

In Dust I trust! Dusty did my hair and makeup for my wedding along with my mom and bridal party and I could not have possibly been happier! He listened to what I wanted and made my vision a reality. His fun loving and relaxed personality made my wedding day stress free and so much fun. He colors and cuts my hair as well and I find myself not wanting to leave when he's done because I've enjoyed his company so much. He is so incredibly talented; a true artist. I HIGHLY recommend putting your beauty in his hands.

Omg Dusty is a magician. He uses great products and is so personable. He is interested in you as a person and his craft is phenomenal. He really knows what he's doing. My hair hadn't been done in awhile and I heard he was back in washington I booked my apt he got me in fairly quickly. I will definitely go back a.s.a.p

Dusty is the most incredibly talented hair and make-up artist that I or my entire wedding party, guests included has ever seen! He was like having your best friend there each step of the way. Everything he did was flawless and natural looking. He works intuitively with the person and brings about dynamic change from within. Not only did Dusty transform me into a gorgeous and stunning bride, he handled me in a gentle caring manner so that I did not experience ANY stress on my wedding day. Yes, Dusty can take any person and bring out their own natural beauty in a rare and miraculous way. My new married life was enhanced by my new found confidence from the enhancements Dusty made to me. He also did the Mother of the Bride's hair and make-up flawlessly. She is 70 years old and looked 50 and gorgeous! Her friends and family have never seen her hair and make-up look as good as when Dusty did them! He was beyond prompt, had everything we needed in his supplies, pleasant, interesting, and has such a positive outlook on things that even when the wedding took a turn for the worse with missing appetizers, stuck in traffic best man, etc. Dusty remained grounded and the vibe in the dressing room never left calm. He worked me through a super stressful time with a gentle smile. I would utilize Dusty again and I will give him my highest level of recommendation. He is off the charts awesome, dependable, immensely gifted, and innovative. If you would like to be your most beautiful self on your big day, choose Dusty. If you are rather plain and don't want to be "over done" with piles of gloppy make-up, choose Dusty, I don't typically wear make-up and I barely noticed I had any on but our stunning wedding photos are the proof! If you have a certain look you hope to acheive, choose Dusty and he will take you on a life changing journey to look like you always dreamed! He will get you there in style and a short amount of his dedicated time. This guy is the real deal, so glad that I chose Dusty! He made me the bride from my own Fairy Tale, thank you Dusty!

I send a complete pricing sheet. It's detailed and goes over everything. I have separate pricing for commercial work and weddings.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I get an email I respond with aNew Client Form. The form has questions that help me to get to know my new customers skin, hair, style and personality!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I'm always teaching myself through my own creativity. I stretch myself and if I see something in a magazine that I love I'll recreate it;) I watch YouTube tutorials and have trained with many masters. From Vidal Sassoon to Gene Juarez. I'm always pushing myself to learn and create.
