Happy Healthy Home did a fantastic job cleaning my attic and putting insulation in. They competed the work in a very timely fashion, the price was reasonable and the quality of the work was very good. I would not hesitate to use them again and would definitely recommend them.
The process from estimate to project completion went smoothly. Dylan and Jason came over to give us an estimate to replace our knob and tube wiring in our old attic within two days of contacting them. They communicated their arrival time well and were flexible with our schedule. They walked us through some issues and helped us understand how our house is wired. Making extra effort to clarify my questions and suggest future improvements that can wait. The quote was agreed upon that night over the phone and they scheduled time with us immediately. Four days later they arrived as expected to complete the work. They accommodated my request to splice into the switches in the walls to avoid having to open them up pending our renovation in the new year. This saved us having further disruption to our home in the holidays. The only downside was some ceiling plaster which cracked as they were moving around in the attic. They even pointed it out. It is a quick fix but something that we didn't see happen during other work on our furnace or insulation in the past so are curious what was different about this job. They completed as expected on day 2. The wiring is clean and no garbage was left behind. All lights work as expected. The job came in on quote. Overall we're happy with the work and will ask them to return to help with future renovations or small jobs.
Our fence needed repair in two places as two of the fence columns were starting to wobble and become loose from the underlying concrete support. Pat arrived at around 11:00 am and worked non-stop until around 8:00 pm. He was very meticulous and it seems like the only break he took was to head out to Fred Meyer for a replacement blade for his electric saw tool so that he could saw down the wood plank to the correct height. The fence is very stable now. Clearly this sort of work is very detailed and precise and requires specialized skills. We would recommend Pat to anyone who needs complex fence repair. I will definitely hire him again for any future work.
Jeremy worked quickly and did good work. His pricing is fair, and he is friendly and easy to work with.
Great job! Great in every aspect! He is responsive for our questions before the project started, arrived on time, minimal disturb while setting up the blow machine, take pictures to explain things well, never upsell things, did extra work without changing original price. Very professional insulation removal and installation. Last but not least, his price is the best! Strongly recommend!
Mac took care of a long list of small to medium size fixes for two visits. Projects ranged from fixing a fence panel to switching out electrical socket and door sweeps. He was friendly, professional, prompt in responding and scheduling. Will call him again when needed.
During a full week of heavy rainfall we had a flood happen in our newly finished basement of our 1942 home which had been recently remodeled with an additional story. Needless to say I was extremely stressed as our carpets were soaked and I had no idea how the water had come into our basement. That same night I contacted Robert via email (found his services on Thumbtack) and he immediately responded and personally came to our house the next morning to view the damages. He had a restoration company come out that same day to pull out the carpet pads and dry out our basement. A few days later, after the basement was dried out, Robert personally came back out to investigate the cause of the water intrusion. With the added story to our house our fear was that the additional weight had cracked the foundation. But after pulling out the drywall he noticed the insulation around our old, unused chimney was soaked. There were also old water stains coming out of our old furnace flue which was connected to the old chimney. Robert proceeded to go outside and do numerous tests around the foundation as well as climbing to the top of our chimney to find that it was improperly capped. When he tested the top of the chimney by spraying water up towards it from the ground, as if it were raining, we witnessed water coming into the basement where the old water stains were apparent. Robert resealed the cap and wrote out a detailed report on what needs to be fixed to ensure a leak from the chimney would never happen again. Robert also directly called our insurance to explain what he found which helped our case in getting insurance to cover the costs. By Robert accurately detecting the cause of the flood insurance covered the costs of this project. Robert was very responsive and trustworthy. I could quickly tell that he was on our side and was compassionate towards our problem. His subcontractors were very nice and they got the job done right and efficiently. I highly recommend Robert for any home emergencies. He is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, compassionate and an all around good guy.
Soundview Restoration came out & cleaned out our crawl space under our house, it had been taken over by rats. Ewww.. Yuck! They tore out all the old insulation & vapor barrier, then vaccuumed up any droppings that may have fallen out onto the ground. I highly recommend them! Andrew is awesome & so down to earth. Thanks again, guys!! Candi & Joe
Working with Trish, and Kurt was excellent. Kurt came in to remove a popcorn ceiling in the master bedroom. He did the job in two hours, which was faster than I expected, without causing any significant scratches on the drywall. We knew there was a spot in the ceiling with some damage before hand, and we didn't have them fix it, but Kurt did explain to us how we can fix it, as well as gave us some drywall cement to help with the drywalling we've been doing in the room. Overall, we're very happy and would how them again.
Derek installed the drywall in a garage to rec room and bedroom conversion. 9-foot ceiling, skylights, lots of windows and some other things made it more challenging than a typical drywall job. He was great to work with and very focused on customer satisfaction. I got a good job for a very reasonable price.
Derek arrived on time to install a toilet valve. He was very polite, detail orientated and persistent to get the toilet to work. Unfortunately the parts that he had weren't cooperative, and Derek had to go get a box of new parts from Lowe's, and then within 10 mins the job was done to my satisfaction. Before he left Derek kept apologizing for the earlier inconvenience. Although the parts shouldn't cost as much, the overall price is quite reasonable. For his persistency and politeness, I would recommend PNHI to my friends.
PNW was a near-obvious choice among the 3 places we got estimates from to install insulation in our attic. All were very professional and responsive, but PNW came in with the best price to boot. We were also really happy with their work, they were quick and efficient and a pleasure to have in our home for a couple of hours.
I needed someone to do some cleaning up around my home(mowing, blowing, light trimming) . I called Hawley's Landscaping and was pleased that they could come and do the job within a few days of my calling. They gave me a fair estimate of the charge and how long it would take to get the job done. I was very pleased with their work and will call them again without hesitation! They showed up on time which these days is very rare! You cannot make a mistake by calling Kurt - he does exactly what you want in a timely matter.
Their friendly team came out and did a full assessment of our home insulation needs. They were thoughtful, caring and very knowledgeable. We have already noticed a remarkable difference in the warmth of our home. We highly recommend their services.
Excellent project vision. High quality work. On time, on budget. Great Communicator. We hired Mike to put in a new staircase in our 1924 craftsman home which required cutting open the floor, creating a new load bearing support wall, matching the rise and run of the staircase to land where we specified (not an easy feat), adding lighting, railings, and insulating and sheet rocking the entire thing. All in a fairly confined space where he had to navigate around gas lines, our garage door, a very choppy cement garage floor to build off of, and under floor radiant heating. The final result far exceeded our expectations, especially given that we had no architectural plans, just a vision. Mike was gracious and patient with us, coming over four separate times to listen to our ideas on the project and work with us to develop a vision of the final product. There are many things we appreciated about working with Mike, a few that stand out: Quality of the work: We let Mike know from the start that we were putting in the staircase only so that we could sell our house. Another contractor might have done just an 'OK' job knowing that we wouldn't have to live with the results. It's clear that Mike and his team take great pride in their work because they were absolutely meticulous; adding detail trim and thoughtful touches. The construction was extremely solid, and for a house that is 90 years old, I have no doubt that staircase will be there 90 years from now. Communication: Anytime I texted or called Mike, I got a very prompt response. He kept us updated on the project progress throughout. We feel like he really listened to us all the way through. If he wasn't sure about a particular detail, he was humble enough to say so and he got us an answer as soon as possible. Thoughtfulness: Mike and his team showed an abundance of care at my house, leaving everything cleaner than they found it. I had no worries whatsoever handing over the keys to my house to Mike and his team. They were very respectful, true professionals, and just very nice people to be around. My only regret is not hiring Mike to do the staircase right after I purchased the house rather than right before I plan to sell it. Thanks Mike & Team!
The guys insulated my attic and installed vents. It's been a day and I already feel the difference in my house retaining heat! They were in and out in about 3 hours.
Deck remodeled and updated. Work went well, on time and Dewayne was easy to work with showed up worked hard and gave good advice about what needed to be done. He did a few other projects for me that I was equally happy with installing attic insulation and some recessed lights in my dining room. I have fond my GoTo Guy with Dewayne Johnson of Trinity Construction Builders LLC.
I had Chris out to my house recently to redo our house. When i say redo, i mean redo. A pipe broke but it was more like a slow leak so when i had my floors rotting out that rippled into walls we decided to redo everything. We had hardwood and tiles put in and they were flawless. I dont know if i can attach pictures but if i can i will. He remodeled our bathroom, our kitchen, and our living room. Remodeled half of our study and my daughters room. I painted the whole interior to get rid of the mold. Insulation and plumbing was done by a sub he recommended but everything turned out flawless. I loved getting updates while i was at work or out of town. Toni sent me pictures of extra work that was going to be involved and asked if i wanted it performed not pressuring me into it. I also appreciate the fact that they worked weekends. I appreciated the fact that they were so courteous of my stuff, covering my clothes when they sanded the drywall in the laundry room, carefully placing my paintings where they would not get broken, etc. At one point, something was cut short, it was a really simple mistake but Chris went and got some more to replace it. I really appreciated their honesty. They did what they said they would do and on time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I loved the fact that they fixed the issues and i loved the fact that they stayed within their estimate even though most of the work was hourly rated. They really increased the value of my home! Call them for repairs or remodeling...
Henry with Glez Insulation and his partner performed a full attic loose insulation removal, sterilization, baffle install, and batted insulation replacement for almost $1000 dollars under the closest bid. They were clearly very thorough, experienced, and rapid. I would hire them again in a second. My attic was 1400 sq full of gross 50 year old loose fill. Everything was completed within 1.5 days. Pictures show the attic before, cleaned and filled with batted insulation after.
We had a few contractors out to estimate the cost to remove and replace rodent damaged vapor barrier and insulation in the crawl space of our home. First Choice Insulation Services can out, inspected the crawl space, measured the area and then provided an estimate via email the next day. They were the lowest price of the bids we had obtained. We were able to schedule the work to be done within a few days and they did the whole job in one day. They did a great job, kept the debris contained on tarps and left the property clean upon completion of the job. They offered to show me the completed work in the crawl space, which I took them up on. The insulation was properly installed, and the new vapor barrier clean. They answered all questions professionally. I would recommend them in the future.

I hired Madrona Home Services to insulate my attic and a dormer storage space in my newly purchased 1926 house which is actually in the Madrona neighborhood. While Rory was at my house to give me an estimate for that work we got to talking about sound proofing a practice space in my basement for my son's rock band. Rory did quite a bit of research for me and we went ahead and did the job. It was a lot of work, removing all of the existing drywall, furring out the walls a bit, installing sound proofing insulation, drywall, solid core door with weatherstripping etc. Madrona Home Services did a fantastic job. I continued to find things for them to do and they provided me with the multi talent Kurt M who did countless small and large improvements for me. We are in the house now and incredibly happy with the work and service provided by the people at Madrona Home Services. Rory is a fantastic communicator, he's extremely responsible, conscientious, resourceful and helpful. I will keep Madona Home Sevices on speed dial for all future house hold needs. I had a very positive experience all the way around and really appreciate the quality of service. Elizabeth Z 4/29/16
