Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am willing to take the time to ensure each student succeeds. I check up regularly even after the tutoring sessions are over to confirm a solid understanding of the topic was developed. I do not do work for individuals but instead guide through them the questions and tasks at hand to ensure they are properly approaching the assignment. My job allows me the flexibility to gain exposure to a multitude of clients and team members. I get to work with a lot of different people and personalities which helps me develop my professionalism. This also teaches me how to communicate effectively with others and what type of management styles are best suited for others. I also get to see how different businesses operate and what tools lead to success.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I come from a family of accountants so naturally, I majored in accounting as well. As the "rebel", I decided to also add in a degree in Information Systems to broaden my skill set and take advantage of the classes available at the business school. In the field I work in now, I get a perfect blend of both accounting and information systems. Working for such a fast-paced company, I am constantly being challenged and learning new things, which I love! I have been exposed to very talented and intelligent individuals and feel privileged to work with them on a daily basis.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I often tutor people on how to use Excel since I frequently use it in my daily job and have developed the skills necessary to understand shortcuts and helpful tools. I also help people with all levels of math from calculus to geometry to finance formulas. Lastly, I often help edit people's writing. In another life I would've considered being an editor something in that field so it's always particularly fun to get my hands on opportunities like that!
