My husband and I hired Ernesto and his team to build a rock retaining wall in our extremely sloped backyard and we could not be happier with the results. Not only did Ernesto help with the design, like explaining what rocks would look best and where the stairs should go. He also was extremely mindful of the technical aspects of the project, ensuring proper drainage, setting a study base, etc. As a result, we now have a very sturdy and beautiful rock wall. Ernesto and his team are very hardworking, respectful, and honest. We would highly recommend Duran Landscaping for any backyard or landscaping project!

The job: Hand dig a 100' trench to allow drainage. The challenges: Hand digging without hitting utility lines, and going through a huge amount of roots. Samuel did a great job. Communicated promptly. Understood the project, and arrived on time. I would hire Samuel again.

We had previously used Hawaiian Construction to paint our townhouse. They did such a great job that we hired them to paint the entire interior of our new house in Marysville in October, 2017. They gave us a quick quote for a great price and they actually finished the work ahead of schedule. In addition to the painting itself, Robert (the owner) fixed several drywall issues, at no additional cost, so that the paint job would look just right. Also, Robert gave us advice and referrals to other contractors for several areas beyond just the painting - vent cleaning, blinds, plumbing, etc. His advice was invaluable, ended up saving us a ton of money, and all the contractors he recommended worked out great. Being a general contractor, Robert also did a couple of small extra jobs on very short notice and for a great price. Bottom line - Robert, his wife Julie, and his crew did a fantastic job (again) and I would recommend them to any and everyone.

Paul & Kevin from Best Home Improvements did an outstanding job on each of a whole laundry list and wide variety of repair jobs at my home. These were repairs that had become necessary after accumulating over several years. Paul did a very comprehensive and thorough assessment of the condition for each problem item and then a couple days later gave me a detailed and accurate cost quote. Best of all the cost per repair item was very reasonable and competitive. Paul was accommodating to the timeframe I needed to have the repairs done within. The repairs were completed in a very professional and timely manner with great attention to detail. Paul kept me apprised of each major phase of the repairs patiently explaining to me what was done as well as providing very helpful diagnostics and recommendations for any potential issues that surfaced during the repairs. All repairs fully met and even exceeded the quality and specifications in the contract. One good example was Paul going out of his way to track down the closest possible paint to match house paint from many years ago since I no longer had touch up paint. There were a wide variety of repairs needed but Paul & Kevin did an exceptional job on each one. Needless to say I'm very happy with the wonderful job they did, the careful attention to detail with everything done at a cost that was very affordable. With this very positive experience it's most definitely my plan to use Best Home Improvements for all my future handyman/contractor home repair & renovation projects. Byron M.

We bought our house while living in another state. We needed a contractor that we could trust to work on our house with no supervision. Ben was recommended by our real estate agent. We had Ben install our bamboo flooring. We drove up to the house to find the floors had been done very well. The reason for the recommendation is that Ben went above and beyond in all aspects of the job. Since that time we have had Ben build a kitchenette, install a whole home generator, and he is now working on converting a fireplace to gas. There is no question or service that I have asked him about that he wasn't extremely knowledgeable about. I would trust this guy with anything, vouch for him with out question.

Jeff had take care my flooding basement project very well. He brought his crew to my place the next morning and the next thing I know was the water has already been removed over the afternoon. They installed a system for drainage and I no longer have to worry about my basement flooding for another 25years.

Tony and Artistry did a masterful job on our landscaping project. Tony has a unique combination of skills that allows him to complete large scale infrastructure work and finish it off with thoughtful and inspiring finishing touches. All this is done with good communication. Finally, no one works harder than Tony. Some contractors leave you wondering – am I getting my money’s worth? With Tony is obvious. He works so hard I get tired just watching.

Our experience with Creative Home Renovations, Inc. is extremely positive. We own a small apartment complex in Marysville, WA. Our remodel began as basic replacements by various companies including the roof, gutters and attic insulation. However, the insulation company recommended repairs to the soffits prior to the insulation install; therefore introducing us to Mr. Johnson of Creative Home Renovations. Within a day of the call, and knowing bad weather was setting in, Mr. Johnson and crew replaced the soffits, venting, and facia. Impressed with the workmanship, timeliness, commitment, cleanliness/excellent clean-up, and crew, we sought a bid on carport repair which then followed the ‘gut' and luxury remodel of a 2 bedroom unit, then expanding to the remodel and repair of 5 other units. Mr. Johnson worked right along with his crew, coordinated and contracted excellent specialists as needed at a fair price. In fact, Mr. Johnson was my ‘watchdog’ over workman hired by myself such as the asphalt replacement and exterior drainage. Mr. Johnson kept us informed with multiple pictures of prior condition, issues uncovered, and work completed. Any issues that popped up during or after the remodel, Mr. Johnson or his crew immediately addressed or coordinated with someone that could even if he wasn’t responsible for the item in question. Mr. Johnson’s pricing is fair and equitable and provided insight and recommendations to our ‘architectural’ ideas. And most important, Mr. Johnson and crew are committed to the owner maintaining immediate and ongoing communication. And Mr. Johnson acted as a sounding board and liaison between myself, the property manager, and the tenants. Without that, the project would have taken forever to complete. I cannot thank Rob and his men enough. Quality, commitment, fair pricing, organized, hard working, respectful of property, and likable - quite a combination. The company does it all (wallboards, ceiling boards, cabinet and flooring install, lighting, electrical, plumbing, structural, baseboards, molding, painting, siding, soffits, venting, etc.) or coordinates with subcontractors as needed. The building looks amazing… resulting in an improved bottom-line and salability, as well as owner and tenant pride.

Hamilton and Gustafson were so great to work with! My wife and I had a tree fall on their house during a storm 7 or so months ago... and this led to so many problems for us, a cracked foundation, truss issues, flooring and cabinets were ruined, our home that we have lived in since we were married 55 years ago was ruined. My wife (76 years old) and myself 78 were devastated.. and left with little options and now idea how to begin the repairs. We did our own due diligence over a few days to find the proper contractor and within hours of reaching out to Michael and Gunnar they had their project manager come to our house - ask us what we wanted and had a team out the next week working on the renovations. Best of all.... they had a team find us short term rental within our budget to re home us for a few months as they worked on the renovations. They even hired a team of packers to help me and my wife pack up our house!!! Unlike any experience I have ever had with a construction team!! Above and beyond. Best of all was their open line of communication with us. If we had questions, we instantly had answers. Very professional team to work with. Everyone from their project manager Ben to their entire team of workers. They respected our schedule and best of all, made as many changes necessary to make sure we remained satisfied throughout the process. Rest assured, we our back in our house and feel more at home than we ever did the previous 50 years. THANK YOU!!

We are very happy with our experience with F&M Our project was an outdoor project. Our objectives were to replace the old railroad ties that were used as retaining walls with good quality stonework, improve the drainage to channel rainwater away from the foundation and to upgrade our paved terrace. F&M provided a fair cost and time estimate and then put together a good team to make it happen. The new stone retaining walls looked so good that we expanded the scope to include replacing our wood deck with quality pavers to match the new pavers on the terrace. F&M listened to what we were asking for, understood our priorities and made some good suggestions that made sense and that we mostly we agreed to. The project was completed according to the agreed costs and mostly on time. It has been a year and their work stood up to last December’s rains. Only negative is that the work schedule was a little unpredictable so we could not plan around stages of the projects well.
