I am a 54 year old semi-retired female. I live in Ballard with my cat, Evo, who gets along well with dogs. In fact, I am certain he believes he is a dog himself!! I am available to check on your animals daily and/or sit overnight, in your home. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I have no formal training, but pets have always been a part of my family, so I have lots of informal life experience to draw from. I look forward to every opportunity to spend time with animals. I go for walks every day, rain or shine, even if I am not pet sitting. I promise to give your furry family member(s) the same love, affection and attention that I give my own. I am known by some as their "animal whisperer friend" because animals tend to be drawn to me and feel calm and at peace. Connecting with living things; meaning people, animals and/or nature.

Holloway Habitats is a small gardening service. That means you get to know your gardener/s well and get the opportunity to communicate directly with the owners about your concerns, goals and gardening desires! Every client is involved in the creative process to the extent that they want to be. Clients range from highly involved (working along side the gardeners and generating ideas) to those that prefer we create and maintain their gardens to our own highest standards. The plants that we provide are high quality and hand selected from local NW nurseries. We seek out unique and rare plants as well as low maintenance, easy to grow native and non invasive ornamental plants, suited for each client and location. Our design services include a printed design to scale, with a plant description and care guide sheet, including pictures of every plant for your reference. Find out what other qualities we have! About Jumanji Oliana Jumanji grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has been passionate about the outdoors and native plants of this region for many years. She attended the Edmonds Community College between 2011-2012 with an emphasis in sustainable landscape design, restoration and nursery practices. She also completed the 2011-2012 Wetland Science and Management Certificate Program at the UW. In addition, Jumanji is a member of Plant Amnesty and the Washington Native Plant Society and completed the 2010 Native Plant Stewardship Program. She has volunteered for WNPS restoring King County parks and helped with educational programs and the annual spring native pIant sale. In 2009 Jumanji graduated from the Evergreen State College with a BA in Environmental Science and Policy, and Political Economics. Prior to that, she was enrolled for three additional years at the Pacific Northwest College of Art, studying sculpture in stoneware, metal casting and welding. Jumanji has been gardening for clients since 2009, including two years experience with high-end Seattle landscaping companies. She has also been gardening with her family her whole life. She is particularly interested in sustainable practices such as rain gardens, xeriscape, restoration, vegetable gardening and native plant species that grow in the Pacific Northwest. Her passion is for creating unique gardens suited for each location, taking into consideration small, low impact development projects, soil make-up and sun exposure. Jumanji has owned and operated Holloway Habitats (formerly Oliana Gardening) since 2009. Sarah Wallace The beauty of the Cascades and our Northwest culture captivated Sarah as she grew up in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona. One trip to Washington was all it took to have this gardener completely hooked on the plants and habitats that make Washington truly unique. Earning an Associates of Technical Arts in Horticulture from Edmonds Community College in 2011, Sarah was able to focus on her passion for plants and the environment. Education in the art of horticulture gave her the knowledge of sustainable practices that feed directly into our community. Community gardening became a focus of study for Sarah as she completed her internship with Seattle Tilth in the Spring and Summer of 2010. Learning the facets of organic production of fruits and vegetables was physically rewarding, but also a humbling experience that left Sarah wanting to spread the enjoyment of food production and small farming into her community. Sarah has over two years experience working for several high-end gardening services in the Seattle area before combining forces with Jumanji to successfully run Holloway Habitats in 2012. Jesse Jennings Born and raised on an island in the Pacific Northwest, Jesse grew up with an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. As a child he spent much of his time enjoying and maintaining his families 5 acre wooded property, which has grown into a lifelong passion for transforming spaces to be inhabitable while reflecting nature. In 2012 Jesse received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Sculpture Department of the University of Washington. His sculptures consisted of a range of materials including wood, metal and clay with a focus in glass sculpture. While earning a degree he contributed with various sculpture and design projects for Holloway Habitats and since graduating has become a full time partner while maintaining an active level of participation in the studio glass and sculpture world. His most notable endeavored, a two-month residency at the Pilchuck Glass School in the fall of 2013. Jesse regularly exhibits in local venues including the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. Jesse maintains a healthy balance between his work as a gardener and designer and his interest in his own sculptural interests.
