Wei-Hung H. says, "We had water damage that caused the siding to fall off near my fireplace vent, so I reached out to a few contractors. Most of them either did not respond promptly or just quickly gave me a quote based on the photos I sent. Got Rot was the only company that sent someone to do an inspection, explained everything thoroughly, and then gave me the quote. It turned out that water intrusion caused the sheathing behind it to rot, and they also helped me identify some other small water damage risks around the house that could be easily fixed when they were onsite. On the day of the job, they sent the team as well as a project manager to give me a quick overview of what would be done. A day after it was done, they also came to do a final walkthrough in case I had any questions. Everything was done professionally and efficiently, and they explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and not intimidating for a new homeowner. Cost was also very reasonable. There were other contractors that offered me a slightly lower quote, but I chose to go with Got Rot after talking to them since they explained the cost breakdown clearly and were way easier to work with. I've been through a few projects after moving in and I knew that I didn't want to deal with all the problems working with a bad contractor just for a slightly lower price. There were also contractors that wanted me to replace the entire chimney siding for triple the price, but Got Rot gave me a reasonable recommendation about what really needed to be replaced. He replaced all of my single-pane windows and exterior doors. He even replaced my fascia boards. Once everything was installed he came back and painted weather permitting. His scheduling was flexible, especially when my door delivery was delayed. He’s accommodating to unforeseen obstacles and fair when it comes to pricing additional work including additional plywood. He has only one team he works with and they did a great job cleaning up every day and completing the work on time. He also actively works on the job site and was there for most of my project to ensure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend supporting a small business over a large siding contractor with salesmen. My cottage will last another 70+ years because the envelope is so water tight now."See more

Erik Luchauer says, "When it was time to replace our roof, I got estimates from 3 companies and my interactions with Elliot at Oasis Construction were always positive. He was able to coordinate an initial visit within a day and provided an estimate within 24 hours. We had a lot of back and forth to go over the details of the estimate/contract, but that was all on me. I had lots of questions and Elliot was always so patient and I never had to wait long for a response. I was also getting other quotes using different roofing materials from Owens Corning and he agreed to redo his estimate using those same materials so that I could do an apples to apples comparison.Once we had sorted out the details, and I was looking at 3 different estimates, Elliot's cost was the lowest of the three. He was also willing to provide a payment plan that allowed us to extend our payments out 2 months. All of this added up to what felt like a great working relationship.We coordinated a start date, but adjusted because of the weather, and when the crew showed up to begin work, they were extremely kind and respectful. The work took a little longer than expected, in part because our roof has a lot of different, adjoining angles and overhangs, but also because there were 2 guys on the crew. A neighbor recently had their roof done and there was a crew of 8 people who got the job done in 2 days. With 2 guys, it took 6 full days of work. We didn't mind that it took a few days, especially with how wonderful everything looks, now that the work is done. They did an amazing job, and even patched up some holes that squirrels had made in the soffits. The team was always kind and when I checked in with them, they always provided an update on how things were going.I wholeheartedly recommend Elliot and Oasis Construction for your roofing needs in West Seattle.
