FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For in-home weekly meal prep, I charge a flat service fee + the cost of groceries. Service fees vary based on the number of portions of food I male each week. An example: a family of 4 might chose to get 4 unique dishes per week, at 4 portions for each meal, the serice fee would be $300 + $175-225 for cost of groceries. For catering events I charge by the head, meaning the total is dependent on the guest count. I determine the fee based on the cost of groceries, any necessary labor, and any travel fees.

I math everything out! I charge by the head, meaning the final cost will be determined once the final guest count comes through. This charge per guest would include the cost of groceries, labor, and any travel fees the chefs might require. If an event is larger than 2 people, I might reach out to another independent chef in the area to assist. All of these chefs are also licensed and insured! Step 3. Once the details are hashed out, and the price is agreed upon, I will send you a contract to sign, while you send me a $250 deposit to reserve your spot on my calendar. Step 4. We decide the menu, figure out the cooking space together, and work out any other details of the event. I have connections with florists, photographers, and bartenders, and can make recommendations on rental equipment. Step 5. On the agreed upon date and time of your event, I will arrive with all needed product, excited to get to work! You are free to stay and chat, and watch the food magic happen, or go about your day, prepping for your party – I learn peoples’ kitchens quick, so I am fine being independent right off the bat! I will prepare all the food, and have it out at the agreed-upon time, looking, smelling, and tasting delicious! Step 6. I clean the kitchen thoroughly before leaving, ensuring no dishes are in the sink, the counters and cooking spaces are spotless, and trash/recycling/compost are brought outside. I will have you look through the kitchen to make sure the cleanliness is to your standard before departing. Step 7. Payment can be made by Venmo or PayPal, cash or check. I will provide you cards with QR codes to payment options.
