    Pianomansaint Piano Tuning

    (143 reviews)

Because I LOVE what I do. This is not just a job. It is my passion. My main focus is EACH and every string on the piano and making sure she is just right. Most tunings take about an hour, But as I do not overbook myself you can be sure I will give your instrument ALL the time she deserves. Also after each tuning I do not just put my tools away and leave. I will sit and play to make sure she is just right and then ask that you do the same to make sure you are happy! I realize that your time is just as important as mine and to that end I do my best to always arrive ON TIME or a few minutes early. If I am even ONE minute late you can be sure to receive a phone call. But what REALLY sets me apart from other providers is that I do what I do for the LOVE of the music and the Piano. I also show my appreciation for client loyalty in a way no one else does that I know of. IF YOU HAVE ME TUNE YOUR PIANO AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR YOUR RATE WILL NEVER GO UP! AS IN NEVER EVER. BUT WAIT!!! There's more! I hand out punch cards! after 5 tunings the 6th is FREE! It's about the MUSIC, NOT the money : ) EVERYTHING! I have Loved Pianos since I first heard one at the age of Five. I Love being able to live a life where I can get to work on and play such a wide range of beautiful instruments. I Love being able to speak with so many different people on subjects we love. I love the travel. But perhaps what I love the most is being in a position where I am introduced to such a wide range of music and styles!

    Steve Malloy Piano Tech.

    (32 reviews)

My Piano Tech. experience over the past thirty years in both Minnesota & WA State exceeds that of many other Tuners/Techs in my area of Puget Sound, Washington; with my Piano Action Restoration experience/specialties & a local network of Piano rebuilding shops, movers & the like, I'm able to offer a wide range of Piano Services to the Grand Piano & Vertical Piano owners here in Puget Sound Area. I really enjoy working with my hands on intricate Piano Actions & specific repair jobs. I enjoy showcasing my Tuning Skills with a 10 minute Piano Recital following each Tuning; in fact, this is part of my tuning procedure as it is critically important to set the string tension across the Piano's Framework after the Tuning. My interaction with the public & customer relations is also most enjoyable to me personally.

    Sodo Pianos

    (5 reviews)

I was trained at Steinway and Sons under very stringent standards. There were always many experienced technicians around to ask questions when I was learning. I progressed to the point where I was allowed to do concert tuning at many great venues. It is all done by ear over there and no machines were allowed. Because of this exposure I learned how to set the tuning in such a way that it often lasts longer than the average technician. With my background and experience you can rest assured that you are hiring someone that is qualified and capable to take care of your piano. I enjoy meeting people the most! I also enjoy helping people achieve the most from their instrument when they desire to do so.

Thumbtack Spotlight

AAA Piano Service

(137 reviews)

It was in the summer of '97 that Scott Townley officially established his business out of necessity. He had gotten a songwriting contract from Microsoft, but it required him to be a licensed company in the state of Washington in order for him to get paid. Soon after, it had become extremely challenging to obtain more songwriting contracts, so he shifted to piano repair and tuning, though he was able to produce his first CD entitled "Sodo Mojo Rock N Rap" for the Seattle Mariners' fans in 2001.

His typical clients vary from ultra rich political icons, Boeing and Microsoft employees, radio station engineers and piano teachers to churches, schools and ordinary people who own a piano that have not been tuned for a while, which makes up 90% of his business.

They all seem to appreciate my work -- even the picky ones!

His most successful and favorite work was the piano gig he did for a lady who saw his ad by accident. While tuning the lady's piano, she happened to mention that she was a dear family member of a highly popular and famous reality TV singer. This led to his connection with her producer, who is now reviewing his original wedding song music.

Scott's client retention mindset is to pay attention to the needs of the customers, as well as provide free advice and other stuff, like inner cleanings, to all his piano owner clients.

Scott Townley had performed live aboard the cruise liner "Queen Ann" on Lake Washington, and he just did a job for a professional jazz pianist for Daren Motamedy and Mr. Tom Maeda.
