Introduction: I believe that everyone who comes to me deserves to be happy. Although I do challenge them, my clients tell me that they feel very comfortable talking with me. Together we explore their experiences, intentions, thoughts and emotions. Using my intuition, training and skills, I collaborate with my clients find where and how change can happen. This is different for each client, and often involves various forms of talk therapy and deeper forms of therapy such as Lifespan Integration. Couples come to me seeking greater happiness and a sense of balance in their lives. Often they have the same arguments again and again, and they feel lonely or disconnected even though they are part of a couple. Criticism and defensiveness are common problems. It is possible to get past attack/defend mode using a few simple yet profound tools. In counseling they learn to use these tools at home so they can let each other know what they are thinking and feeling. Truly hearing and understanding each other is often new and leads to greater happiness and satisfaction with the relationship. We also work on building the couple's friendship and romance if it has been lacking. This can be quite fun. I can help them to change destructive patterns, reconnect, and give their relationship a chance. I love to helping my clients to untangle their experiences and recognize the patterns that are keeping them stuck. It's so rewarding to watch my clients free themselves of unwanted burdens, blossom into self-acceptance and see new possibilities. Seeing couples reconnect so they can enjoy being together, appreciate and cherish one other is a great part of this job.
