We were looking for gutter cleaning services on Thumbtack and ASAP Graffiti Removal & Pressure Washing was one company that came back with a bid. Pedro provided us an estimate in his first email, and after calling him, we set up a meeting for later that week (that's what worked with my schedule). Pedro & team came out to our house - they were early, began work after checking in with us/providing us a receipt and were finished in a flash. They cleaned up our entire roof, took pictures to show us before and after, and cleaned up all of the debris that went into our yard from the roof. It was such a pleasure to work with you Pedro. Thanks for your time!

Gary and his team did an excellent job. I requested gutter cleaning and while he did the work, he identified a couple issues - a gutter that had detached from the house and debris that had collected on the roof. He provided me with a quote for the additional work, but did not pressure me to have the work done. His fees were very reasonable and I was very pleased with the quality of the work. He was professional, friendly and very transparent about everything he did. I will be using Gary again and will recommend him to friends.

A hose-end attachment specially designed for gutters may make this project a lot easier. If you need to clean from a ladder, follow these steps. Step 1 Begin cleaning the gutter near a downspout. Step 2 Remove the large debris (leaves, twigs, etc.) with a trowel and dump it in a bucket. Step 3 To clean out finer materials, flush the gutter lengths with a hose starting at the end opposite the downspout. Alternatively, you can use a gutter-cleaning attachment on a hose. If the water doesn’t drain, recheck the downspout strainer and clean as necessary. If gutter water still doesn’t drain, the downspout may be clogged. Check the drain end. If the downspout runs underground, remove it from the pipe as needed. Install a small nozzle on the hose, and lock it at full pressure. Turn on the water and feed the hose up from the bottom of the spout. If this doesn’t clear the downspout or the nozzle is too big, use a plumber’s snake tool to clear the blockage. Reattach the downspout. Flush the entire gutter again. Be sure to clean the downspout strainers. We doing like same work. Our company name is Mr Gutter. Mr Gutter is a full gutter service company. We giving various services like Seamless gutters, gutter guards, gutter repairs, underground drains, copper gutters, fiberglass Radius Gutters, rotten facia boards, gutter cleaning. Enrique is indeed good in installing gas water heater. He was on-time and did everything right from beginning and also showed true receipt of all parts. No gimmick. You get what you pay for is a guarantee. He also help cleaning after his work. He also walk through all post installation process without rushing and left parts which were unused. He helped to 1) buy a new gas water heater 2) install it 3) remove old gas water heater 4) post-installation steps and 5) cleaning .. He installed it today and offered anything goes wrong then give him a call for free repair. What else do you need as customer .. I will use him for future home projects .. no doubt.

ProMan was able to come right out the same day I got in touch with them. Jorge was very professional and sent an employee out to clean gutters, brush the moss of the roof and treat the roof. The price of the project was less than some of the other gutter cleaning places and well worth the money. They provided me with before and after pictures so I could see all the work that was done. I would use this company again.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Why is it important to clean your gutters?

Rain gutters, those easily-forgotten trenches that hang off the edge of your roof, protect your roof, walls and foundation from excess rainwater. When they get clogged with leaves, sticks and other wind-blown debris, they can no longer direct water away from your walls and foundation, and may become homes for pests and insects. They also become heavy enough to pull away from the house, preventing proper rainwater drainage and spoiling the appearance of your home. Experts recommend inspecting and cleaning your gutters twice a year, once in spring and once in fall, as part of your regular landscaping schedule. Gutter cleaning and maintenance is a fairly easy DIY job for some homeowners, especially on one-story homes. However, professional gutter cleaners have ladders tall enough to safely reach rain gutters, as well as the necessary tools to clean out the downspouts. Most gutter cleaning professionals can also make any necessary quick repairs.

How often do you need to clean your gutters?

Gutter cleaning and maintenance is an important part of keeping up a home. Not only are clogged gutters unsightly, they can also lead to water damage in the house’s walls and roof. The best way to prevent that is to clean your gutters at least twice a year — experts recommend making it part of your spring cleaning and fall landscaping schedules. In the fall, trees lose their leaves and, in the spring, release seedpods and flower petals, all of which tend to end up in rain gutters. It’s a good idea to also have a professional gutter cleaner clear out your downspouts, too; clogged downspouts can make gutters backup and overflow.

How much does it cost to have gutters cleaned?

Professional gutter cleaning and maintenance should be done once or twice a year to remove debris and check for damage to the roof and gutter. The national average cost for rain gutter cleaners ranges from $100 to $130. A number of factors affect the costs, including the combined length of the gutters, the size of the house, the location of the gutters, and any risks posed to the professional cleaner. Some companies based their cost estimates on the linear square footage of the gutters; for example, 200 linear square feet of gutters on a standard, single-story ranch-style home costs an average of $125 to clean. The cost goes up for second- and third-story gutters and those in hard-to-reach places, like a roof with an unusually steep pitch. Expect to pay at least $100 more than standard prices if cleaning your home’s gutters requires extra safety precautions. Because spring and fall are gutter cleaners’ busiest seasons, some gutter cleaning and maintenance companies offer discounts during summer and winter months.
