Introduction: I offer massage and bodywork services for the canine athlete and family pet. Massage is beneficial to all dogs; I especially like to focus my massage services on seniors and hospice car dogs. I also work on dogs with sports injuries.. My practice is limited to dogs and cats; no humans. I bring massage to your pet in your home, the place where they are most relaxed and comfortable. I am certified by the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage and a member of International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork / Association of Canine Water Therapy. Canine massage and bodywork are complementary wellness modalities that can be beneficial to your dog's health, comfort and performance. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary care, but complement it. Massage helps in pain management, injury recovery, relaxation and reactivity. It restores an overall sense of well-being in your pet. I offer services by appointment. Massage rates start at $65 per hour.. I deeply enjoy being able to bring comfort to aging pets and their families

Her skills as a canine therapeutic massage clinician are soothing, calming and evident right away. The medical and behavioral history taking of pet and owner is excellent. Compassion and "eye-for-detail" is her forte. The medical response time has been rapid, with 3-5 sessions in my overview, as being very good. Many sooner than 3 sessions. Gail will work diligently for each client and their pet!

Gail worked on several of our dogs - from our competition agility dogs to our old, retired agility dogs, and all of our dogs love Gail! She is works well with dogs that are easy and difficult and works at the pace that each dog needs. One of our dogs thinks massage is the best thing ever and would simple relax the minute Gail touched him. Our 5 year Pap has difficulty relaxing and Gail started very slow with short massage sessions until he was actually relaxing and enjoying them. Our old (13 and 14 year olds) loved when Gail worked them and we believe that with her help it has improved and extended their lives. My dogs love Gail and so do we!

Gail is a tremendous pleasure to work with. Her empathy, compassion and love for animals is transparent in the bond she shares with them. At the time, I first met Gail my dog, Sadie, was having mobility issues. Sadie responded to Gail’s massage therapy with more energy & vitality in her daily activities. She was always excited to see her come through the front door of our home and relished the love & care she received from her tender touch.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Wellness massage for senior dogs and dogs competing in agility and other canine sports.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The Benefits of Massage: The benefits of massage include increased blood circulation. Each cell in the body must be constantly bathed in fresh, oxygen-rich blood which brings nutrients and takes away waste. Massage opens blood vessels and improves circulation. Massage increases the circulation of lymph fluid which contains white blood cells; the workforce of the immune system. Massage moves the lymph fluid through the lymphatic system even when there is little muscle movement. Massage relaxes tight muscles and is an excellent remedy for joint afflictions and decreased range of motion. Massage can recognize imbalances and misalignments in body structure.
