J29 events was a lifesaver the month of my wedding! As someone planning my wedding in Portland (living in Seattle) their local experience was helpful. Their experience with weddings led to great recommendations for how to work with vendors, plan the full day and make vendor recommendations when needed. Nicole was wonderful on site, and she went above and beyond to make sure the night went smoothly; all the way down to moving her hours around to ensure my rental items were returned in great shape. I rated 4 not 5 only because in months leading to the wedding, I had to follow up on my sent emails a few times to get responses. Actual execution was flawless. Thank you!!
Vanessa was my Day of Coordinator for my Sept 12th wedding. She went above any beyond. We had 3 different meeting beforehand, she even picked up my flowers for me! She was there for rehearsal and the entire day of the wedding and really helped things run smoothly. I am so blessed we found each other, I would not have been able to relax if I didn't have her helping. Our entire family loved her too!
My wife should be writing this review, but I want to take a moment to tell you what a great job Lisa (my wife) and Soleil Bliss Event Productions did for us. We had been planning our wedding for about 13 months and from the very beginning my wife knew she wanted a planner. Liz drove from Vancouver, WA to Seattle to meet with us as purely a consultation. Our first impression of Liz was here is a woman who knows how a wedding should be done. Within five minutes we knew we had found our planner. As my wife's vision of the wedding changed over the 13 months Liz was there every step of the way to help with any problems or offer solutions on how to make her plans become reality. The amount of stress that Liz took off my wife's shoulders as our special day drew near was astounding. On the day of our wedding Liz was able to fix a major dress malfunction, whip out two corsages for my wife's mother and my mother, coordinate a less than accommodating venue staff in reference to their idea of decorating, and all this was done after she had stayed up until close to 2 AM to decorate our ceremony and reception areas. Liz took a great event, location, setting, and environment and transformed it into something completely phenomenal. Our expectations were so far exceeded that we could not believe what she had created was our wedding. Thank you so very much Liz. I can't urge anybody reading this enough to talk with Liz and let her plan and coordinate your wedding. You will not regret a single moment nor worry in the slightest that your event will be anything less than extraordinary.
Cassie was amazing from the first email she sent to the last text congratulating me on my first day of marriage. She is well organized, prompt, incredibly knowledgable and truly cares. I found her on Thumbtack and hired as a day of coordinator and am SO glad I did! It's hard to say everything that she did because I know she probably handled way more things behind the scenes then I'm aware of, so I'll just say what I DIDN'T have to do. I didn't have come up with a to do list for the planning part of the wedding, I also didn't have to organize my own timeline for the actual wedding day. I didn't have to stress about the set up of the venue. I didn't have to worry about any of the vendors, when they would arrive, what they would do etc. I didn't have to figure out where I needed to be and when on the big day because Cassie would just pop up and say "In 10 min I'll grab you for ___, okay?" I didn't have to think about what would happen with everything at the venue after my husband and I left. I pretty much didn't have to worry about my wedding at all, I just had to enjoy it! I recommend Cassie to anyone, she is so sweet and made out wedding day go off without a hitch!
Margo was absolutely fantastic. She made things so comfortable. We feel so lucky to have had her perform our ceremony.
I had the pleasure of hiring Cascade Catering to provide our wedding reception dinner. Working with Ashleigh was wonderful, she was great with communication and made it an easy experience. Leading up to our wedding, they were great helping with logistics and offering tastings of their amazing menu options. They also provided additional items for rent such as our linens which made it so easy to have it all arrive together. She really listened to our ideas for our reception and worked with me to create decorations for the buffet that went with our décor. Their staff was attentive and professional and the food was replenished quickly, even with the additional unplanned guests. Ashleigh even packed adorable to-go boxes of left-overs, for us to take with us. She truly went above and beyond. Our only complaint was so many delicious options, it was hard to pick! I would use Cascade Catering again in a heartbeat for any function!
The title Wedding Planner really doesnt seem to do justice to the job that Atiya and her staff perform. I think Wedding Savior comes closer. When I walked past the You Are the Stars booth at the Tacoma Wedding Expo I have to admit I had thought a Wedding Planner was a luxury that only couples with huge wedding budgets had use for. However, Atiya has made me a believer! I talked to several other wedding planners at the expo, but it wasnt until I met Atiya that I started to think there might be something to this whole wedding planner thing after all. I made an appointment to meet with her, much to my fiancés chagrin, to discuss in detail what services she offered. After going over everything You Are the Star offers and discussing our wedding with us, she not only had me sold but my fiancé was ready to sign a contract on the spot! During the planning stages Atiya was able to take our theme and ideas and create something truly magical I never would have been able to pull off without her. Not only was our wedding beautiful, but the money Atiya saved us on things like decorations, chair cover rentals, flowers, and table settings added up to over half of what we were paying her! But where Atiya and her staff REALLY shine is on day of services. Not having to worry about ANYTHING on my wedding day allowed my fiancé and me to really enjoy the moment. They did all the hours of setting up, making sure all the vendors were set up properly and on time, dealing with last minute emergencies, keeping things on schedule, and making sure everyone, not just the groom and I, had a wonderful time. And as the night was ending, her staff packed up everything in our cars for us so we were able to enjoy ourselves right up to the end of the evening. It went so well my guests were commenting on how wonderful Atiya and her staff were! It truly was a magical evening thanks to my wedding saviors from You Are the Star Weddings!
Ric and I were very pleased the way Katy married us on 9/18/2016 Katy understood what we wanted and how we wanted it done. We wanted a non-denominational wedding ceremony and she delivered it very well. It was a beautiful wedding ceremony even my guests commented on it as well. Katy, you were able to convince my husband to do the vows from the heart, since it was very important for me. I remember how upset he was during rehearsal since I had not mentioned the intent of using the vow during ceremony. That was just 3 days before the wedding and he refused because he didn't think he could able to pour his heart out in just 3 days preparation., and that was a very, very busy time for him and I. Fortunately, she was able to convince him and he was able to speak from his heart about his feelings towards me on our wedding day. That made me in tears since it was very beautiful. Katy handled moment by moment on our wedding professionally, including the other services that we asked for (bartender and servers) and we are thankful for that! As the best man for my brothers wedding, myself and the maid of honor were primarily involved with working with our coordinator, Melissa. To say the least, she was not only incredible, but far exceeded our expectations. I still don't know how many hours she must have spent of her own time to make sure that every request was met and fullfilled, but also she had all the tasks taken care of before we or the newlyweds-to-be even had the chance to be concerned about the details. She was professional, both in appearance and personality, and yet still had a way of making everything much more fun and exciting than we had anticipated. She showed up for every appointment early and stayed late to ensure she had everything covered. Most important, on the day of the wedding, all credit must go to her for everything running smoothly; that the bride had not a worry in the world because Melissa had everything running like a well oiled machine, she was worth her weight in gold. She impressed everyone in the wedding party and the family and will be the only coordinator that any of us will use in the future. Melissa made my new sister-in-laws dream wedding come true, which in turn made my brother happy beyond words. She has not only made us permanent customers, but we all consider her a close friend as well.
