- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons typically meet for 30 minutes once per week. Lesson tuition is payable a month at a time in advance. Additional business policies are available upon request.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Piano Lessons "I teach using the most current books and teaching materials for piano study and follow the curriculum guidelines of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association District Auditions/Badger Competition. My goal is for them to become great note readers with beautiful technique and interpretation following a path to Classical Music, BUT I also teach Christmas songs, Ragtime, Jazz, Disney, etc. to capture my students' interest." Voice Lessons "In my career I have worked with young singers as a school music teacher, director of musical productions, and in a private studio setting as instructor/accompanist. With young singers, my immediate goals are to help them sing on pitch with correct rhythm and diction as well as work with them on proper breath control."
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Miss Garin is a cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she attended on a 4-year Music Department Scholarship studying both piano and voice. She also holds a Masters in Education from Loyola University Chicago. The Wisconsin Music Teachers Association has recognized Miss Garin for “Proven Teaching Excellence.
