FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No added fees unless you need me to drive a long distance. I can discount for group meetings or sessions of 3 hours or longer. I am happy to change my pricing to a bonus-based structure based on your score, but this requires charging the higher rate upfront and then refunding if necessary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This depends largely on past experience. A client who is new to his/her exam will require much more foundational work than someone who is retaking an exam and simply fine-tuning or looking for new strategy tips and high-end help. I offer a FREE CONSULTATION of up to 30 minutes, not only to answer questions and show my expertise, but also to show off my teaching studio and how seamless online lessons can be. Most clients end up preferring online meetings for the easy logistics and unique features such as screen-shotting the whiteboard.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Honors Program at the University of Kansas on full scholarship as a National Merit Semifinalist and attended a statewide magnet school in high school, so I am used to working with high achievers. Many of my clients have attended top universities such as Stanford, Princeton, U. of Chicago, etc. That said, I grew up in a blue-collar household, was diagnosed with ADHD late in my college experience, and worked as a fine dining server/bartender early in adulthood. I believe that these atypical factors set me apart in my ability to relate to a broad range of people and employ more "common sense" explanations than most instructors.
