Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work is clean, crisp and to the point. When necessary, it's relevant to the need and timeless in appeal. I often listen to a client and what they want, provide them just that, however analyze a better solution or direction and offer them what I believe they need. Always identifying why I believe this solution is better for their needs. Creating something new from many different pieces is fun and, at times, exciting. To make something easily understandable from so many pieces or unrelated bits, comes with a great sense of accomplishment. There's always that moment when a client reviews a design solution for the first time and you see that "wow" look in their eyes. The kind that says, "I would have never guessed it could be this nice." That's the moment I strive to achieve.

Tim created images and did the layout for our theater company's season brochure. (We supplied the overall theme, copy and photographs.) All the work was done within our very tight deadlines. With more time we would have tweaked some of the images a bit more, but overall we were very pleased with the design which was clean, professional and communicated our message very well.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My continuing education is simply the constant online resource I cull when an application is updated. I not only need to stay up to date because of my career, I also teach at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and must maintain a current understanding of several Adobe and Apple applications.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common jobs I do for the majority of my clients are print related. Whether a brochure, identity or program, my clients tend to need a printed piece. Although I have created and designed websites and online ads, my freelance clients are focused more on a printed collateral piece or printed identity items such as business cards and letterhead.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Allow enough time. If you aren't aware of what is appropriate, don't assume, just ask. We're happy to accommodate you and a tight deadline if we can. However, understand that a quick turnaround will come at a cost. Please don't be surprised. The cost allows your project to go to the head of the line and receive special treatment. It's money well spent, trust me.
