Introduction: My name is Bill. I’m a 3rd generation contractor and have been doing this for over 25 years. Since I opened Emally’s Construction I have been driven by the knowledge and principles passed down to me by my father and grandfather. Even though the products and technology have changed over the years, the people haven’t. Homeowners still want an honest company that does quality work for a reasonable price. This is what we pride ourselves on. If you call for an estimate I'm the person you'll talk to. You get me every time. I have a full crew of talented people that have been with me for years. What I don’t have is a salesman. At no point do I want to sell you anything. It’s my job to inform you and arm you with knowledge so that you can make the proper decision that’s best for you. This is an “old school” idea that I believe is missing in today’s construction world. This means no empty promises. We put a plan together and I make sure it happens the way it’s supposed to. I know I’m being hired for my skill and knowledge and it’s my reputation on the line. Which is why we take every job very serious. I personally handle any issues a homeowner might have. Whether its a leak that needs to be fixed, a project alteration, or a schedule change so we don’t wake up a napping baby, it's me you get. I know how stressful it can be to do a home project and I never forget that. I do my very best to keep the project running smoothly. I pride myself on the trust my customers put in me. I never forget it’s people like you that keep me in business doing what I love to do. Seeing my customers get excited when they see their vision completed.

Emally’s does Excellent work, and Bill is very reliable, professional, and responsive to any questions or concerns the homeowner may have. We had Emally’s do a complete gut rehab of a bathroom and a kitchen, change the heating system from radiant to forced air, install central air conditioning and all new windows throughout, install new storm and entry doors, create a large dry walled room with epoxy floor and recessed lighting in the basement to be used as a library (including built-in bookshelves), create a bathroom within that basement library and a storage closet outside of it, replace all the basement windows with glass block, build a large deck off the back porch and a privacy fence on one side of it, enlarge our parking area, and make a pad for a shed we bought. This was all in a 1920s bungalow. It was a huge job, and Bill and his crew did it all in the thick of the pandemic. We were supposed to start the job in April 2020 and finish in late October, but the pandemic rules prohibited construction companies from starting new jobs that month. So Emally’s started the job when allowed in June, and they still finished it by mid to late November. This included add-ons like the parking area. During this period, due to the pandemic, supplies were often difficult to find, but Bill always found a way. My husband and I are artsy types, so I wanted particular things and ordered some of them from places like Etsy. Bill was happy to work with me every step of the way. I had a lot of questions, and he always answered them in ways I could understand and put my mind at ease. We couldn’t be happier in our rehabbed forever home. And Emally’s was very fair where all the prices were concerned.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The best way I can put it is, "we're the cheapest guys that do it right" We don't cut corners just to save a dollar and we don't add things that aren't necessary. We use quality materials from reputable suppliers. I do my best to provide options to get it done right while still staying within your budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Cost is always front and center for any homeowner. So, our first visit will be the free estimate. During this visit we discuss the project and the best option for the house and your budget. Once those things are agreed upon, we write up the contract that includes everything we discussed. Then we schedule a start date and get to work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 25 years of experience. I'm a licensed general contractor. I've studied and worked on the entire home structure. I keep up on all current building codes through continuing education every year. I've also completed thousands of projects on a home top to bottom.
