FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I accept private pay clients as well as those who would like to utilize their insurance benefits. I'm "in-network" with Aetna,Anthem Blue Cross,United Healthcare, Health EOS/Auxiant, Magellan Healthcare, Multiplan, PHCS, APS Healthcare, and WPS. I am considered "out of network" for others, such as Humana, but you might still be able to use an out of network benefit. I do not presently accept Medicare, BadgerCare, or Title 19 reimbursement. I advise clients to contact their insurance companies directly to be fully informed of their own benefit package.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes. I regularly complete required continuing professional education to maintain my State License as well as additional educational training to fulfill standards for each of my specialty credentials. Life is for learning. Certainly that holds true professionally and personally.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you decide to establish a professional counseling process, it's essential that you find someone who you find to be supportive and with whom you can have good rapport. Meet with a therapist 3-4 times to see if that develops. If not, try to find a different therapist. Additionally, be sure that you are honest about your concerns and life history. This can be very difficult, but a counselor's effectiveness depends on your honesty. It's also important that you work on new skills in between sessions, because that will greatly impact your success in achieving your goals. As you work on new ways of coping or communicating, you will build confidence managing your emotions and resolving life's challenges.
