Introduction: I am an aspiring, young songwriter/guitar player, and I yearn to share what I have learned about guitar and music in a creative approach that will adhere to your learning style, speed, readiness, and interests. About My Achievements I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Southeast Wisconsin. In college, I enjoyed coursework in piano, guitar, voice, and popular music history and influence. Soon after, I earned my certificate in Wilderness First Aid as a First Responder through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). I have re-certified twice since then, which means I have multiplicatively earned CPR/first aid certifications. I have a professional background in childcare and education, and my expertise is within personal-growth challenges such as confidence building, communication barriers, team building, and lesson sequencing! Lesson Rates I charge $18.00 per lesson, within a 1-hour time frame. Lessons are usually not to exceed 45 minutes, as schedule permits. Why is there no specific amount of time? Time is a restriction on many learners, significantly when learning something new, like guitar, which mandates muscle memory as well as intellectual study! Audio/visual and kinesthetic learners are encouraged to apply! Lessons include the following: * Guitar (beginner-intermediate levels; all ages) * Voice (beginner level; all ages) Rentals are available upon request. Affordable deposit is required. As it is, so is my philosophy on teaching; teaching is learning, and it is reciprocal. I wish to show you or your child my knowledge, musical interests, and skills, so that you, too, can appreciate the joy of music all around! I can provide references if necessary. Teaching Philosophy: My emphasis is on technique and sound. If the student sounds or seems like he or she is struggling, then I will gladly do what I can to get this student focused and motivated! I like to cater the lesson to the student's specific needs and music interests, especially in the cases of learning differences and attention issues.
