Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a teacher that is adaptable. If you’re a beginner and just want to know how to play a song, I can show you enough basics to get started right away. If you have some experience but want to learn how the guitar works on a more fundamental level, we’ll start by talking about the physics of the instrument. Perhaps the path you want to take is somewhere in between. In any case, my lessons are fun, interactive, and visual. I’ll give you plenty of resources to help practice techniques and remember concepts. I love seeing people invest in themselves and initiate their own learning and development. I love seeing people get excited when they discover something that changes the way they experience music. Music is a gift that keeps giving and I’m proud to be a catalyst of discovery.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been playing drums and guitar for over 13 years. Much of my learning has been self taught. Making discoveries on my own and learning out of a genuine love for music, instead of obligation, has kept my journey fun and consistent. I played guitar and drums at church, which let me play with people (which is essential) and not feel immense pressure if I messed up. I bring these elements to my teaching by playing together with students and making the learning process as fun as it can be. Once the student has a sense of enjoyment with the instrument, they will be much more enthusiastic about drilling the technical elements.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Whenever I perform, I get approached by people who want to learn so I started giving short intro lessons. I found a simple way to get people to play songs within just a couple lessons. I enjoyed being around the excitement of learning an instrument.
