NYC Drum Lessons with Hayley Greco

Introduction: I work with aspiring musicians of all ages by creating a fun and constructive environment. Since people, especially children, are more motivated to practice the music they love, I will teach you fundamental skills through self-expression! I am an auxiliary percussionist in the New York Youth Symphony and have played in various venues including Carnegie Hall (5X), Kings Theatre, United Palace Theater, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, Amore Opera House, and many more. I have years of experience in orchestral, musical theater, rock/jazz/pop, latin percussion, and operatic performance, and I am able to share this experience with any motivated student. Not only do I teach technique, but I teach basic music theory and piano so that students are able to practice whatever they would like to learn at home. I own various percussion instruments in my studio including a drum kit, a marimba, xylophone, djembe, didgeridoo, several triangles, tambourines, a piano, and more. I have two locations in Brooklyn and Staten Island and I am willing to travel to students anywhere in NYC. I absolutely love helping others. To be able to combine this with my passion for music and percussion instruments is extraordinary. I also enjoy teaching children, who I believe excitedly soak in musical training like sponges. Music is a wonderful art form and I am happy to show anyone why I think this.
