Introduction: I've worked in entertainment for many years in various fields, and have many solid references (feel free to ask). Over the last several years I've developed several skills which I'm trying to put to good use.
Since I love to WRITE, DIRECT, and EDIT (video + scripts), here are the services I offer, and their corresponding rates:
*1) VIDEO EDITING
Cost varies depending on content and complexity, but I normally charge $40 per hour for labor. Potentially negotiable; describe the project and I'll quote you a flat estimate.
*2) SCRIPT EDITING
I have 3 tiers to choose from:
a) Proofreading, $3/page. This is focused on basic script formatting and grammar/spelling.
b) Copy editing, $4/page: In addition to spelling/grammar and format, I focus on style, flow, fact-checking, and do my best to improve all the mechanics of the script.
c) Content editing, $7/page: All of the above, plus I will help "punch up" the script, make dialogue more solid, and find ways to improve the narrative and characterization. I will either include my own improved draft, give separate in-depth notes with suggestions to make your own improvements, or do both under the same price bracket.
*3) DIRECTING
My normal rate is $200/day, not including equipment costs. If you don't have the equipment needed, I will have to send you a separate estimate including equipment costs after discussing the details of the project.
***4) WRITING
I will also take miscellaneous writing jobs; however, my rates for these jobs vary so wildly I would need to hear more about the specifics of the project before giving a quote.
