FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat rate for an initial consultation up to 2 hours for occupied staging and redesign, then I charge an hourly rate after that. For vacant staging, I will do an initial 30 min. walkthrough free of charge to make measurements and recommend what areas should be staged so that I can provide my client with a quote for staging.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For occupied staging or redesign, I schedule an initial 2-hour consultation where I walk through my client's home with them after asking a few questions. I will make all my suggestions for changes during the consultation, maybe even make easy changes right then and there, then my client can decide whether to make the changes on their own, pay me to make the changes, or a little of both. I will provide a written report as part of my consultation so my client can use that report to make changes they can make on their own. For vacant staging, I will walk through the property and recommend what areas should be staged, take photos, and make measurements, then I will prepare a quote for staging. Quotes can sometimes be prepared using only photos but not always.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Texas at Austin. I am a graduate of the Staging Diva Business Training Program taught by Debra Gould who is highly experienced in home staging and internationally known for home staging training. I have been redecorating and staging my own homes as well as family and friends' homes for decades with great results. I enjoy what I do and love to work with people! I am a member of RESA, including my local Central Texas RESA Chapter. So, I have many contacts in the staging industry I can refer my clients to.
