After we go through your items we will decide what needs to be donated, thrown out or consigned. We will find new ways to use the things you love. We will work within your goals and needs to ensure your are comfortable with the process and I deliver your expectations. I love style! It's some of what makes life worth living. Anita has been amazing, helping me reconfigure and update my wardrobe. She found combinations in my closet that I would never have thought of on my own, and I love the outfits! During her first visit, we came up with (a surprisingly short!) list of things I might need - like a pair of white capris. What a delightful surprise when she followed up with some links to look at those options online - and had even remembered what brands I told her worked for me. I invited her back to help me pack for a trip to New York - normally I would panic and run out to the store to buy new clothes, but she had everything laid out and ready in no time. No shopping required, and it was the most organized trip I've taken. Spending time with Anita is worth the small investment - I'm organized, confident and much more trendy than ever before!

Creativity is what comes to mind when I think of Anita of The Stylish. She showed me that I could wear what I want and improved my awareness of what works for me. She was able to empty my closet of things that I no longer needed. She showed me different ways that I could sell some things. The proceeds allowed me to add to my existing budget. Most importantly she showed me how to use much of what I already own in ways I would never have thought of. We then went shopping for items that I was missing. She knew the latest trends and what worked for me. I know the things we bought will give me joy for years to come. We also had a great time and she really listened to what made me comfortable and unique. The Stylish's services paid for themselves. I already feel more comfortable at work, as a result of my new wardrobe. She is a master at maximizing what you have. Next step is I plan to hire her to redecorate my apartment.

Anita has truly been a Godsend! I recently moved from my home in Louisiana to North Carolina to be nearer to my children and grandchildren. I downsized from 4000 sf to 2500 sf. I thought I had purged decades of unneeded items prior to my move, but once in my new home found myself overwhelmed with pictures, knick knacks, books, china, furniture.... and on and on! Not only that, I am at a loss as to the best way to place and display the items I love and want to keep in my new space. Anita has helped me start the journey to organization and I'm feeling great about it! We had such a fun day starting the process! She helped me move some furniture pieces around and use them in ways I hadn't thought of! For example, my nightstands were too small, but one worked great as a small entryway stand and a table I had in the entryway, which was too big for the space, works perfectly as a nightstand! She has helped me sort and make a list of items to donate and sell, and found places for me to consign some things and sell others online. She found a wonderful West Elm coffee table for me for $75 on an local online selling site that I will pick up tomorrow. I have some homework, which is great, because she is very willing to get the process started and help me minimize cost by doing things myself that I have time to do. But, she will keep in touch so that I am accountable, and has helped me set up a schedule for the various things such as consignment pickup and bringing pictures to be re-framed. She is also keeping an eye out for the few items that I do need to purchase. We got a ton done our first day. The best part has been Anita "discovering" items I've had tucked away and has given new life to pieces of furniture that I didn't know what to do with. This also prevents me from spending a ton of money buying things that I just don't need. Most of all, Anita truly listened to me and didn't just go with what she liked - I really felt like she got to know my style and has already made my new house feel like a home. I can't wait for our next appointment where we will focus on more of the decorating once I have finished my homework ;-)

Yes, 79.00 an hour. 10% of purchase costs over 500.00.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Intake form to understand the clients' needs, meet to discuss goals/requirements. Assess what the client has, purge/consign whatever. does not bring the client joy, reuse, recycle, Repurpose existing belongings. Arrange possessions in new, unique, pleasing aesthetic. Teach the client why something works or does not. Shop for missing pieces. Create strategy for client so that they are aware what to expect. Engage the client in the process as much or as little as they require. Sit back and admire how happy the client is.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Experience in Boutiques including Versace and Armani in wardrobing. Womens Ready To Wear Buyer Federated Department Stores. 30 years self taught Fashion Decor Historian. I am also a professional project manager so I can make sure your goals are realized while staying on budget and within time line required
