Introduction: Hi I'm Sandra, I have been cooking since the age of 11 years old. Coming from the heart of Mississippi, my grandmother and mother trained me in the art of southern cuisine. My specialty is food for the soul. I will prepare or teach you how to cook meals in the comfort of your kitchen, or facility of your choice. Cooking can be therapeutic and fun. My aim is to show you techniques and tips as key components to finishing a great meal. Southern Spice can cater to the needs of any size group. Sandra made me the most delicious, fall off the bone, tasty ribs platter. Absolutely succulent. From the sauce flavor to the side dishes, everything was spot on yummy! In addition to the amazing ribs, I had a potatoes and onions side dish with a nicely spicy green beans and meat dish. Sandra topped it off with a nicely delightfully cheese toast with some diced tomatoes and seasonings. I was so impressed with my summer favorite meal (who doesn't love ribs during the warmer weather season?), I am wondering what other summer favorites she can whip up? I aim to find out! I am glad to have Sandra as my personal chef!

Southern Spice provides that unique flavor that reminds you of recipe's GrandMa would put together and satisfy the entire families appetite. I highly recommend if you have a taste for authentic home cooked food!

I've known Sandra for years! It has been my pleasure to enjoy her delicious cuisines. One of the perks I've enjoyed is watching, learning, and best of all, tasting her exquisite creations. From southern down-home comfort food to health conscious light fare, Sandra does it all!! I'm impressed by how easy and fun she makes it look. From prep to the finishing garnish, the experience is memorable; and did I say deliscious? I highly recommend Sandra and her culinary skills to anyone looking for great food and fun times!

Sandra has cooked for me twice and I can tell you, this woman knows her craft well! I am impressed by each opportunity I have had to taste her food. My first meal was a delicious collection of delectable ham, smoked turkey collard greens, corn bread, mac and cheese. I was in heaven. The ham was perfectly balanced (not overly salty), the collard greens had the right touch of smokey goodness with delightful chunks of turnkey meat and the mac and cheese...wow! Nice crispy baked goodness with smooth rich and creamy cheese goodness. The corn bread was the topper. I had to share with a friend so they could taste but then immediately thought, "I'll have to get more!" The second meal was a delicious spaghetti dish with garlic bread and a delicious salad. Wow again! The meat was in generous form here - a mix of quality ground beef and Italian sausage. I was in heaven! The sauce was delightfully balanced- flavorful and zesty but again, not salty! The garlic bread! I had to ask her how she made it because it was infused with flavor. Simply but delectable! The salad was not your lettuce and a few veggies affair. It was kale-based with chunks of apple, tomato, onion and many other favorites of mine. Truly, a dish that could be so bland and boring turned out to be another delight. Sandra asked me what I liked prior to cooking and did she deliver. Her use of spices is amazing. I keep going back to balanced and it is true. The flavor profile was amazingly great! I highly recommend Sandra. Not only does she deliver on the promise of making tasty food from the heart, she is a great teacher (she explained to me how to make the garlic bread her way) and she's a quality person. A delight on all fronts!
