FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for photography will vary on the type of work. I offer a 10% discount on all of my services to current and former Military, Police Officers and Firefighters.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied photography in the University of South Carolina's Media Arts program. I am always working to improve upon my craft. Last year, I completed the Lamarr Williamson School of Photography Portrait Workshop with Tony Corbell.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a photographer since I was eight years old after getting a camera for my birthday, (full disclosure, I wasn’t a professional then) but I took my camera with me everywhere and photographed everything with a pure joy of capturing the world. Separating the snapshot from the photograph is why I decided to become a professional photographer. My first job in high school was working at a photo lab. Every day, I would check hundreds of pictures for proper print exposure and color. After reviewing thousands upon thousands of someone else’s pictures, it didn’t take long for me to truly appreciate those special images that captured the light, composition, and emotion of their subject. This showed me that photography could be beautiful and powerful. So, I invested in my first SLR camera, studied as many photography books as I could get my hands on (the internet didn’t exist back then) and attended the University of South Carolina Media Arts Program. The rest is history!
