Introduction: I offer private and group lessons as well as wedding and general choreography both on a private floor in Clintonville and at multiple studio locations throughout Columbus. I teach American Smooth and Rhythm dances, Country two-step, line dancing and Swing. I'm DVIDA certified in the smooth dances and am one of the premiere West Coast Swing professionals in Ohio. Dance is my passion and unlike most other dance instructors I am able to teach both sides of the dance enabling me to teach you to lead or follow and/or to teach couples to dance on my own.
The thing I love most about dance is how versatile it is, and how relatable. People dance for so many reasons - as an outlet for creativity, energy, love, joy, pain - and I enjoy helping people express themselves through movement. My mom passed away from cancer 7 years ago and dance was not only something that allowed me a physical outlet for my emotions, it also gave me a purpose and something to look forward to in one of my most difficult times.
I also enjoy the people and relationships I form teaching, competing and social dancing.Recently I have discovered a new love- utilizing dance as a way to raise funds and show support for various charity organizations including the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. BLissS Dance strives to put on at least two charity events a year with 100% of the profits benefiting the chosen cause. Stevie is in tune to the music. She feels the message contained in the song and is able to convey that in her teaching. She is very good and has patience:) Though she can teach ballroom dance, this review is for her West Coast style dance. She is very good at helping you out with both posture and musicality. Only down side is you need to follow up with her on appointments as she seems very popular and is sometimes hard to book because she is so busy. Her pricing is typical for the private dance instructor market. She offers group classes which I often find are more cost effective (in my budget) and provides pretty good one-on-one time during the class. To me, her private lessons work out best when you really need to improve your technique and style. She spots the problems quickly, and helps you work through and correct them. Hope you find this helpful. Pricing falls between ~ $10 to $25 for group classes to ~ $60 to $75 for private lessons. The costs all depend on time, quantity, and location. Dance Plus Ballroom often runs a 4 to 6 week set of West Coast Classes (where she is the instructor) at a very good price.

I have been dancing with Stevie Bliss for a little over two years now. She is the only instructor I have had that has been able to help me significantly move forward in dancing. I will continue dancing with her for the next 50 years!

Stevie Bliss is a very good dancer, and choreographer. She is patient and creative in explaining new moves and is able to teach at whatever level your abilities are. She is professional and also keeps the lessons fun and challenging at the same time. I highly recommend BlissS Dance LLC.
