Introduction: Professional Summary:
My name is Yvonne Chan. I started learning piano when I was 7 years old. After finished my grade 5 ABRSM Exam I moved to U.S.A. During my high school, I have finished grade 8 ABRSM Exam and studying at the Academy of Art University at San Francisco to pursuit my degree in piano performance. I started teaching during my college years and I have been teaching more than 10 years now.
I am a qualified and professional music teacher with a high level of experience. I teach all ages from beginning to advanced levels, from Bach, Mozart and Chopin to many other classical composers.
My teaching method:
. Developed program to work with students and increase interest in higher learning.
. Give a solid musical foundation and help students to define and accomplish their goals.
. Provides students with music theory knowledge and practical techniques to learn to play and read music.
. Selected music carefully in order to achieve balance of musical styles on the program.
. Prepare students for the ABRSM, the exam of Associated Board Royal School Academy of Music.
