- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Your first 30-minute lesson is $15. That's it! If you decide you want to keep going, my basic rate is $50/hr, but various discounts and alternate arrangements are available. I'm quite flexible and willing to work with your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by finding out what the end goal is. Are you here to learn new skills, get some exercise, socialize, or to prepare for an event? Do you want to learn a specific style of dance, or try a few and see what you like? Once we establish a direction together, we get on the dance floor and correct course as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I fell in love with swing and ballroom in social clubs, and quickly found I had a knack for it. I learned as much as I could from as many places as I could. I took lessons and classes, danced in shows, started my own clubs, and eventually moved into teaching. I still love learning, dancing my heart out, and helping others do the same!
