- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My recommendations are based on the best overall value for the experience my client requests. I am value, not price oriented. I offer exceptional customer service, have years of experience in the travel industry, as well as extensive personal travel experience. As a personal travel consultant, I do not discount fares or price match the lowest rates found online. As much of my work involves complex, custom itineraries, I often charge a fee, depending on the trip request. I offer a free initial consultation with clients to make sure we are on the same page before charging a fee or starting work on a trip request
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process starts with an in-depth conversation about the experience the client is looking for and details about the parameters of the trip (dates, number and ages in travel party, destinations, length of trip, budget range, activities, main purpose of the trip, etc) Once I have a good understanding of what the client is looking for and the budget range, and we agree that I will be retained to help them plan their trip, I will make recommendations and offer options. We will discuss these so the client can make informed decisions on each component of the trip. I will make alterations and offer different options as the client wishes until they are completely satisfied with the entire trip.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ECC one of the highest certification levels CLIA offers (certified Elite Cruise Counselor) (Cruise Lines International Association) I attend several travel trade shows a year to stay up to date in the industry I have done Ship inspections of roughly 40 ships from 15 cruise lines I have done many specialist programs with cruise lines, tour operators and destinations I travel myself to gain "boots on the ground" familiarity with counties, cities, properties, logistics, tour operators, etc. In addition to many countries in Europe, I have been to several "bucket list destinations" such as Hawaii, French Polynesia, Peru/Machu Picchu and Africa. In past careers, I have been a Buyer, in Sales, upper management, and had fiduciary responsibility, so I have a very well rounded business background.
